Juan’s has been serving the Carson City are since 2002 since our start at the old Mo&Sluggos on Telegraph and the Horseshoe Club Casino (both out of business). We have been operating out of the Comstock casino for the last 13 years. We are excited to be back in downtown Carson City with our unique Mexican recipes dating back 5 decades. We pride ourselves in making everything from scratch using the best ingredients possible and never store bought.

It was nice to have an authentic Michelada with sizzling steak/shrimp fajitas I haven’t had since I was a kid. Food came out fast. The amount of food for the price was double and I had to bring it home. Overall a great experience even seeing the owner there is a good impression on the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and service! The drinks were delicious, the food was ok. We loved the chips and salsa, but we were disappointed that the beef was ground beef. We were expecting shredded beef. The three of us all ordered dishes with beef, and the taste was definitely a bit off putting. They did have delicious chili rellanos. Hoping they will get more authentic meats as their popularity grows!

Service and drinks were fantastic! Our bartender, Leilani, was the absolute best! Our drinks were SOOOO GOOD. My husband and I had such a great time. I got the pineapple jalapeno margarita and I can’t stop thinking about it lol. We definitely will be going back whenever we are in Carson City. Thanks for great drinks and great conversation Leilani! Meh. The server seemed to be doing the best he could. Too many customers were seated for the number of staff. The kitchen must have been overwhelmed and understaffed because food delivery was getting further behind. Food was okay. The drinks were good. I can’t say I would drive out of my way to eat here.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! May 5, ’22. I admit I’ve been slow in visiting Juan’s, Mexican grill and cantina. I joined them for this year’s Cinco de Mayo festival. It was a riot! The ambiance is truly Mexican, in the many colorful design schemes That have been used to decorate the restaurant. They have a full bar and a delightfully Mexican menu. I had the fiesta bowl under light fare with two Modelo draft beers. It was lots of fun! If you haven’t visited them and had a meal, take my recommendation and enjoy some time at Juan’s.
