Delicious! The ambiance in this place is so charming. Big fire place and they had a piano player, a saxophone player and they sang jazzy music. The spinach artichoke dip was pretty good. I had the Chicken Rockefeller which was to die for! My guest had the chicken marsalla. She wasn’t as happy with her meal saying the Marsalla wasn’t quite reduced well enough but she still ate the heck out of it. I enjoyed our visit and will definitely give it another try.

Wonderful day for outdoor patio dining. Pet friendly as well HIGHLY recommend the half naked bourbon burger! Cheese curds are very good as well.

Had a special wine dinner tonight. Jay prepared everything for us and presented the meal with paired wines. Wow, great flavors from a creative chef. It was quite an experience. 7 courses and personal touches all night long. What a treat. Thank you Jay. It was a night we will not soon forget. We will be back to try the regular menu items soon. Happy 10 th anniversary in a few weeks.

Prime Rib….my dogs loved it, I couldn’t chew it. Texture seemed it had been frozen over and over. I know more about the staffs life then I ever have at any other establishment. They are welcoming and friendly. Way friendly!

My family came to J’s pub on Saturday for prime rib on a whim. There was only one other table in the restaurant eating as well so we thought we could be in and out in a pinch. It was around 8:30 so we expected them to be sold out. Fortunately for us they were not! My mom and sister arrived about 10 minutes before us and got a table right away. They ordered their drinks and then we came to the restaurant. When we sat down they had still not received their drinks. The waitress greeted the rest of our party, not in the friendliest of way and took our drink order. We waited quite a long time for our drinks. 2 of the same mixers, one wine and 3 of the same beers. My family was surprised at how long it was taking for our drinks to arrive but I was not. My boyfriend and I have been to J’s plenty of times and always, always, always our drinks take FOREVER to make here, so this was no surprise to us. We finally placed our order, 5 prime ribs and one chicken sandwich. We all received soup instead of salad, including my mom who ordered the chicken sandwich that does not come with a soup or salad choice. She informed the waitress that she didn’t order soup but the waitress said well I made six anyways so you can keep it. The soup was excellent! Everyone loved it. Our food came and we ordered 3 more beers and 1 more mixer. More time went on and we were about finished with our meals before our drinks came. My mom did not ask for another glass of wine but the waitress brought one anyway. We figured there was no point in telling the waitress about this because she never really checked on us, we weren’t going to go up to the bar to find her either as we are the guests, we shouldn’t come searching for our waitress. I felt as though the waitress was annoyed that we were even in the restaurant. We only were checked on a couple of times and the food was mediocre. For the prices, I was expecting a fabulous prime rib. I’m no chef but I can make a steak taste better than that. This prime rib was definitely not 12oz. It tiny, tough, hard to cut and could barely chew it. The vegetables were salty, the fries were almost burnt and over salted as well. I will definitely not be back for the prime rib. We have enjoyed their lunch menu way more than their dinner menu. So with that being said we have learned that we have better luck at lunch than dinner here unfortunately. I had also noticed before we got our check that the table next to us had to go up to the bar to pay because the waitress took a while to come back to their table. When it was time for us to pay the bill she did not inform us of the “non cash adjustments” so we thought that the bill was messed up and we were going to be charged an extra $10 for something that we had no clue what it was. We asked her to remove that from the check so we could see the total price and she did. I felt as though she was hovering us and was impatient when we were trying to decide how much cash to pay. Almost like she just wanted us out of there. If the waitress came back to check on us more and the bar tender was quicker we would’ve probably ordered more drinks and would’ve even stayed for dessert at the bar with more cocktails. I had went back and forth all day on if I should leave a review or not but I just was not satisfied with anything at all from this visit. Update 5/8/23 Jayson reached out and apologized for the lack of service and food issues. I will bump up my review to 3 stars in hopes that our next visit is much more enjoyable.

Went out for dinner on a Thursday night this past week for a table of 4 with two kids. We waited close to an hour for all of our food to come, and they were not busy at all. We were there for an hour and a half total, which isn’t very typical for our time at restaurants. Our kids got their food first which was nice but by the time we got our food they were ready go. The food was pretty good but we were very surprised at the service we got as there are typically good reviews and we live in town. Not sure if I’d return if the wait for food is always this long.

Food was good, but service at the bar was severely lacking. Had some mopey dopey dark haired bartender gal who forgot the silverware, salt n pepper, water refills, etc.. and then gave me a bill that included a 5% credit card surcharge even though I was paying cash. Her level of service, if you want to call it that, ended entirely immediately after the delivery of the plate of food.

The outdoor seating is fantastic and the scenery is beautiful. Food was quick and delicious despite the fact that there was a huge party there. The lemonade is really good too.

Good local pub. Has a wide selection for drinks. A bit more upscale for dinner so can be a date night, but lunch is where it’s at with the bourbon burger. Dog friendly patio. Staff was friendly and service was good.
