This is a great place that I would strongly recommend if you are looking for a friendly atmosphere with great food. It would have been 5 stars across the board but I have had an opportunity to eat at some spectacular places recently that redefined what 5 star food is. This place is definitely up there though.

J’s Place is a hidden gem with amazing food, hospitable staff, and a great atmosphere. Their menu offers generous portions of steak, shrimp, fish, chicken, and pasta galore. The theatrical tableside cheese wheel pasta presentation adds a memorable touch. The desserts are too numerous to list, and everyone in our party of 10 ended up taking home midnight snacks. It’s a perfect spot for a date night too.

I was there for brunch. Amazing! Very warm atmosphere. Jay met us as we came in. He is very pleasant and keeps the ambiance chill. The service was fantastic. I had the french toast which e as so good. They bacon was oh my goodness. They bake it there after using their homemade brown sugar recipe on it. Crispy and delicio! I highly recommend if you’re in the area.

BEST BRUNCH I’VE EVER HAD!!!!! The eggs Benedict with a zesty made from scratch hollandaise sauce and candied bacon with black pepper was to die for. I got a side of a tomato soup that was probably the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. I had the opportunity to make the chef and she was amazing describing every part of the meal in detail, and even brought out some other dishes to try! I couldn’t stop eating everything was so good I had to even order an amazing lemon cake with blueberries! Friendly staff, over the top food, and a great atmosphere makes this the best place in NY for brunch.

This was my first time eating at J’s for brunch. The atmosphere was inviting, but it was extremely humid inside (with the door open). The biscuits and gravy were delicious. We ordered the French toast and egg platter. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery, with no seasoning. Also, I was caught off guard by the candied bacon. No butter for the toast, very dry meal overall. The French toast with the jam was amazing, I will say!! Someone in our party ordered the breakfast burger, medium well, and the burger was very pink and we had to send it back. Our waitress was attentive but overall the food fell short.

We have been there on multiple occasions and have always had a fantastic meal. Jay and his staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile. There is a variety of food options to choose from with an excellent choice of daily specials available. The food has always been excellent and well prepared. Their extended dinner hours make late night dining easy. Highly recommend a visit to J’s Place!

I found this amazing place via Google. We were on our way back to the city from the casino and were starving wanting Brunch. This place is it!!! If it was closer to the city we would most definitely come here every Sunday!
