Such a great place for authentic Szechuan style Chinese food. It’s hard to find an authentic one around this area. The decoration and atmosphere are fantastic, there are some details are really traditional Chinese, which I like so much. The waiters are nice too. You don’t have to wait long for the food. We ordered one appetizer – Szechuan Appetizing Chicken with Chili Sauce, which I think the chicken was a bit over cooked; one soup – Broad Bean & Soup Cabbage Soup, a bit spicy but quite tasty; Chengdu Style Noodle Soup with beef and pepper – highly recommend this dish, you won’t regret it; Braised Beef Brisket w, Fresh Bamboo Shoot – highly recommend this one as well, the beef brisket was so tender and the spice is just the right level; Stir-Fried Frog w. Pickle Pepper – we can’t finish this dish, but again highly recommend, another amazing and tasty dish.

We passed by the local at night last week and found this Chinese restaurant. At that time we all were hungry and its smell attracted us to get into. The dishes were tasty and we all liked its spicy source. We ordered Chongqing spicy chicken dices, more pepper than chicken bites; the waiter told us that’s the way this spicy chicken should be cooked. We also ordered highly-recommended whole fish in chili bean; it’s really fresh and spicy; maybe too hot to us and we should reduce the spice.

Not the most generous with portions but def one and or/only the Flavorful authentic Szechuan food in Bergen County. Separate menu for American Chinese food as well.

I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding dinner at Joyce Cuisine, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The restaurant was able to provide us with a private dining room where we were able to enjoy a beautiful banquet dinner with our immediate families (11 people).

Ordered takeout from here and was very excited to eat here as my wife is Chinese and we are always looking for authentic spots. The ribs and Dan Dan noodles were very good and flavorful. We also got the crispy chicken which was extremely disappointing. Most of the dish was red pepper flakes and peppercorns. There was only like eight small pieces of chicken and some garlic. Hot fish down the street definitely gives more chicken and better portions overall.

Really surprised to find an authentic Sichuan restaurant in NJ, one that rivals any Sichuan place in the city or Flushing. I thoroughly enjoyed all their spicy dishes, from their selection of cold dishes to their noodle selection. I also love the fact that they’re going more upscale than what you typically find in NJ, they definitely put in a lot of effort from choice of tea cup (not a fan of square cups) to their plating. Like others have pointed out as well, my experience with their service is also on point but a little slow.

Love the food here.. they have lunch specials which you can get for less than 13 $.. they also have so many other varieties – like fried rice, stew, american chinese food, noodle soup, and anything and everything that you can think of.. while the lunch specials are good, they are almost the same you would get in any other chinese restaurant. I rather prefer other speciality dishes..

Let me start from the beginning. Authentic sichuan. Beautiful presentation. Flavors are nothing short of spectacular. Cleanliness of the restaurant is immaculate. Service, Emma and the wait staff are brilliant! There is nothing bad I can say about this place. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It is a hidden Gem that I would love to stay hidden so I don’t have to jockey in line for a table. But I have to give credit where credit is due. I’ve eaten here at least once a week for the past 3 weeks. The pork meatballs, the sauteed frogs legs with pickled peppers, the grand marnier shrimp! I can go on and on! 10/5 stars! My favorite spot!

I have ate at many Chinese restaurants over the years. I normally eat sushi in the same strip mall. However last Thursday I had had Sushi for lunch so I decided to try Joyce Chinese. I ordered the “American Chinese” General Tsao’s Chicken. The presentation was nice, but that’s where it ended. The chicken was the worst I have ever ate (no exaggeration). The sauce was more like a sweet and sour with no spice. However that was not the issue the chicken itself was horrible. It tasted like it was in the back of the freezer for 9 months. The mixture of the breading and stale tasting chicken was too much to stomach. I could not even tell if it was actually chicken or something else. I only ate about 4-5 pieces hoping it would get better (and I was hungry). I had to stop as it was that bad. I left the rest on the table, told them my displeasure, paid the bill and left. I would never eat that again there. Maybe the Authentic food is good but I will never know.

Stopped in for lunch with a colleague. Food was okay, with nice presentation, but nothing special. Maybe we ordered wrong. Would go back, but not in a hurry.
