Sad to see what this place has sank too since the pandemic it’s not even worth the money you pay try Atami,Osaka or Fuji if you enjoy this style of food the sushi roll had half a cucumber shoved in it and threw the whole flavor off, the portions are ridiculously small compared to other Joy of Tokyo Locations the cheapest ingredient of all….. rice, they skimp on. I feel the quality to service you receive can be met much better else where the highchair’s were sticky and the bathroom’s were dirty the food tasted like other location’s but half the amount I would have driven 10 minutes more to not be hungry after I just spent $80 and the only compensation I was offered was to remake 1 of the 5 plates I bought the review used to be 4.3 when I found Joy of tokyo I now understand why it has a 3.7 star…………. learn from our mistake and drive a little further! Side note veggies are now pre-made and not on the grill and are put in first to make it look like you get more meat this was the best looking plate if you could imagine ……..

Great spot and I know Americans are used to tremendously huge sized ports for a crazy low price but times are tough and I felt this was delicious for the price. This guy made all of this in like 10 min and for $32 for all of that I am satisfied as the QUALITY of the food was DELICIOUS. Keep up the good work and don’t let the dumb reviews over how much your getting deter you from trying it out. Publix charges $7-12 minimum for rolls like that and his are like $5.99 or so

I’ve been to most of the locations in Greenville. This is by far the best! The food was fresh and delicious. I could tell the person making our plates (to go) cared about their jobs. The presentation was fantastic! This will be my go-to from now on, even though I live on the other side of town.

EDIT!! New portions are half of what they used to be. It’s very sad because the quality was okay but Cherrydale location gives double the food with better quality now. Manager even admitted other location will give more food because it’s a franchise and each one is a different set of families that run it! I had 9 pieces of chicken on my plate, 2 pieces of broccoli and 2 tiny mounds of rice that barely covered the bottom of the togo box more onions than anything else.

Love joy of tokyo and have never had a bad experience until i went to this location tonight. food was cold, rice was hard. after waiting for 35 minutes for it. when i went to tell the lady working the front counter she rolled her eyes at me threw more rice in another box put it on the counter and walked away not saying a word. i understand being understaffed ( if that was the issue ) but other people that walked in after us got their food way before us. people we went with never got their food because after 35 minutes of waiting the guy in the back ( manager ) told them it would be at least another 15-20 minutes for their sushi because they had to go orders to do before there food would be started ( even though they had ordered right after us ). absolutely horrible experience.
