The chef changed and the food is inedible. This was once one of the best Chinese food spots in New Jersey but not anymore. All our dishes were very dark(too much soy sauce so VERY SALTY) We got sesame chicken and we can tell it has be re-fried multiple(see photo). It was hard. They need to get the old chef back.

Delicious! Huge portions of great tasting authentic Chinese dishes. I would have given 5 stars if they accepted cards for payment but they are cash only with no ATM on site. Just a minor inconvenience to stop by the bank before you grab your dinner! Great place otherwise!

I keep order my pineapple fried rice all the time at lunch hour. Try it just once, you won’t forget. Comes with chicken and shrimp. Sweet and great taste. I never tired to eat at here.

Food is good but they only take cash. Wish they would get with the times. Customers don’t mind paying the fee and not having the option is very inconvenient.

Best place for the classics. Great family environment. Ingredients are fresh and you can tell. That’s really the biggest difference in a Chinese place. Vegetables that sit in the fridge for days and days are telling. I’ve always been happy when I leave Joy Food.

Been going here for years. The food and service are both terrific! I work in the area and Joy Food Kitchen is by far the best Chinese food in the area! If you like spicy and aren’t allergic to nuts give the Schezuan wontons a try! They’re addicting!
