Journey to the Dumpling has been my first and “to-go-to” spot when it comes to dumplings and dim sum. From Reno, yes it is worth traveling to Sacramento to eat here. It is so delicious and if you have not experienced dim sum, Journey to the Dumpling is the place to go to!! Nothing like a spectacular restaurant locally owned.

This place is always packed, and food is good and fresh. My mom wanted to go eat here again. She loves the food. We always order wat more than we can eat because it’s so good. Today, we ordered a few things we had never had, and it was ok. We will probably not order that again. It fell short of flavor for us.

This is by far the best Chinese dumplings place in Sacramento county that I’ve eaten at period and about as good as any premium dumplings in San Francisco Chinatown. Food and service is first class and get busy fast on Sunday lunch time and so get there early, otherwise you be waiting outside in line.

First time trying this restaurant and let me tell you the food was amazing!!!!! The service was also great and very attentive! We had to wait for a table for 40 minutes but after tasting this food it was well worth the wait and we will definitely be coming back soon!!!!!

So so good! There was a 30 minute wait on a Wednesday night, so highly recommend adding yourself to the waitlist ahead of time. Food was definitely worth it, the garlic noodles are the best we’ve ever had. The food came out really quick even though the restaurant was packed, and everyone was nice and attentive.
