I am new to the area moving here from NJ. I know my pizza and love pizza. I was surprised at how great the food is. It is hard to find good pizza in NC. The quality of ingredients makes this pizza one of the best I have had in NC. The prices seemed to be raised way too much. The first few times I ordered it was when it was John’s. I think I paid 32 bucks for a large pizza and large Stromboli. The last time under new ownership was 48 an easy 25% increase. I usually like to get pizza once a week on my non cooking night but will rethink it because of the prices. Or maybe find another local place more reasonable. 30 bucks for a one topping pizza is crazy. It’s a shame too because I really really love the food

It was a wonderful experience at John’s Pizza! It was a big storm and we took refuge and were grateful to have a delicious spaghetti with marinara sauce dinner. They make a really good marinara! The staff were friendly and helpful.

100/100 it’s amazing, I’ve been going here since I was 3 and it was amazing. I learned about this place because my mom worked here, and one of my favorite things was the pinball gum ball machine they used to have. When my mom took me to work with her she would give me a quarter for it, and so would the owner when my mom was doing something. In all It’s a great place, and was a huge part of my good memories.

I ordered a chicken and broccoli from Johns earlier this afternoon and it was not good at all. They made my side salad wrong all I wanted was Spanish, extra cheese and egg. I was charged for customizing my salad but they still got my order wrong. I also had to drive all the way across town because they didn’t add my dressing for my salad. I highly do not recommend ordering from here. I would’ve ordered from Elizabeth’s Pizza but they’re closed on Tuesday.

I have been going to John’s pizza for 10 years, unfortunately they are now “marcels pizzaria”and the new management has decided to take advantage of the economy in Pittsboro and hiked the prices up so drastically I will never ever eat there again. Pizza and everything is still exactly the same just $10-$15 more expensive, I’ve never seen such a drastic price change for “under new management”. Didn’t see old staff there but, new staff was nice, owner is clearly cheap, charges for side items that was never an issue as John’s pizza and fewer pepperoni’s which genuinely shocked me for the $30 I paid for a large cheese and large pepperoni that used to be $17. Your choice if you want to spend that much more money for the same exact product. Just a fair warning so you are not as shocked and unprepared as I was.

The food is delicious but the wait time is always extremely long. The prices are insane and they said they are about to go up even more. How much more expensive can you get? The building itself has a lot of water damage and it seems to be a mold concern.

I try cheesesteak sandwiches at lots of places. At John’s Italian it was a little dry. I guess I like them sloppier with more cheese and grilled onions. We liked the calzone and want to try the stromboli. And I appreciate having Coca Cola served.

I ordered a lot of food to go bc I had family in town. It took almost an hour to get everything. The food was actually really good though, except for the pepperoni knots. They were pretty terrible. Loved the tiramisu though.
