Staff was friendly. Very disappointed though on how thick the pizza was. Asked over the phone if the large was the largest they said yes, get to the restaurant and they actually have an extra large. Back to the thick pizza. This was my first time here, ordering at a place called “New York Style Pizza” I hoped it would be thin, like New York style. Unfortunately if you want thin New York style pizza, you have to ask for it. So it seems like everyone’s first time ordering here may be disappointing since they don’t ask if you want thin or regular and regular is the default you will get if you already don’t know to specifically ask for thin NY style at a place called “New York Style Pizza”. The garlic knots had good flavor but were hard. Again the staff was nice.

Cozy atmosphere. Madison provided great service and follow-up throughout the meal. Good pizza. $7.69 for 2 slices of pizza and a drink is a great deal.

The food is good if you are able to get it in a timely manner. The service is still struggling as it has over the years. A good leader there will make a huge impact and turn it around. I like how bright it is now inside. The new paint is great and it seems cleaner than it was before.

The food at this restaurant is incredibly mid. I ordered a plain cheese slice, a pepperoni slice, a sausage slice, and a caesar salad over two dinners. (I came back second time to give this place a second chance out of a misplaced sense of optimism. I regret my decision.) The salad was served with box croutons and prepackaged ken’s dressing. The pizza was not worth the $4/slice you might pay. The sauce was overly sweet and unseasoned, like a mass-produced canned sauce. The crust was soggy. The cheese was bland, and the toppings felt like they weren’t cooked at a high enough temp. The toppings on a fresh pizza should be crispy and bubbling. Instead you will be served lukewarm bland pizza.

Prior to ordering we ask if you could get a slice of any of the pizzas on the menu. Our server Kelly said yes. Our order was 1 meat slice and a white slice. The white slice came out as a Supreme. We advised her it was incorrect and she ask if we want them to remake it. We said yes. She immediately came back and said slices were pre-made with marinara. She obviously does not know the menu and when we paid there was no thank you. Just gave our card back and walked off.

The food? Delicious. The atmosphere? Riveting. The people? Outstanding. Kylie, Kit, and Rachel are the ultimate trio of serving warriors. Busy nights don’t phase them. Rude customers fear them. They are a trinity of delightfulness. After eating at Johnny’s my acne cleared up and I got a promotion. I wanted to immediately become hungry again so I could eat there twice. Johnny’s in Athens is a gold mine. You won’t regret it.

Food quality has gone way down hill since new management. Can not believe this was a $15 calzone. I’ve been visiting this location for over 10 years and will not be returning

The staff was friendly, and the toppings were good, but they either went cheap on their flour, or they overworked the dough. My pizza was tasty but tough. I got quite a workout chewing.

A cute little pizza place. The pizza is good but I think the flat bread and wings did it for our group. We ended up with a teriyaki mild sauce wings and they were awesome! Our server was fantastic also?
