Young Paradox
Tried it for the first time the other day, the shrimp, okra and fried oysters were so YUMMY! The tarter sauce didn’t disappoint either. The fries could’ve been a little better. It’s out of my way, but I’ll be stopping by again soon!

I’ve been going to Johnny’s since the early 80s. I am dedicated to the fried fish, shrimp, and oysters. They recently added a shrimp salad, little popcorn shrimp fried perfectly over fresh greens and bits of Pickle. It is tasty and the interesting textures work well together. It’s great when the shrimp are hot and really good when cold. The staff cook! The food is consistent and not at all what you would imagine from such a modest site.

Definitely the place to go. Ordered 4 piece fish dinner. Came with tons of steak fries, Cole slaw, tartar sauce and a roll. Fish was delicious along with all the sides. Had to save the fries for later there was so much to eat. If ever I go back to Corpus Christi, will eat there again.

I used to go to this place all the time as a kid, my parents would buy a box of chicken for dinner almost every Thursday. We stopped going because it was a hit or miss on certain days. But most recently I went to go order a cheeseburger and it was so amazing that I ordered one the next week and the quality was still their. My next thought was to order the chicken to see if it was different and it didn’t disappoint. The chicken was dropped fresh and came out perfect!!! I wish I could give more stars. It’s amazing to see Johnny’s back to its former glory. Keep it up

It had been a long time visiting Johnny’s Food to go since Covid came around town, but now we are getting a little bit better and it’s lent season and Johnny’s has good seafood and great prices! Don’t go to bed hungry, Johnny’s has what you crave!
