Basic American hamburger, which admittedly is what they are trying to do, but they charge as if it’s a premium burger. The route 66 burger has mushrooms that seem like they came from a can. Fries were good, but again hard to justify $4.99 extra for a side of fries when you’re already paying over $10 for a burger.

Mmmm. What a good burger. And the fries are great! And the shakes….oh such good shakes! The 50’s diner vibe is always fun and paired with some 50s swinging music. We make sure to get here every time we visit the mall.

Did anyone else get food poisoning? I ordered at this location and it was absolutely horrible, from the service to the food. The staff look very unhygienic and they talked all on top of the food that they served. I only ordered a $10 burger and it took 20 minutes. The staff didn’t even bother to bring it to me as a dine in customer. They expect you to tip big at the kiosk for them to do their job!! The burger itself was not appetizing. I am not lying, a big mac or any other burger at Burger King is worth the price in comparison. If it were up to me, I’d pay $4 or $5 max. I also know it was this restaurant that gave me food poisoning because it was my only meal for the entire day. Friends, I have warned you, please listen and order elsewhere, your family and wallet will thank you later.

I was staying at a hotel that is attached to the Mall of America and decided to get food after a track meet. It was about 8:30pm and I looked up online and on the mall kiosk and it showed that Johnny Rockets closed at 9:00pm. So I head up there.

The food was fine – not great and not terrible. However, the prices are insanely high. A normal sized burger, a small tray of fries, and a 16 oz. Pepsi cost me over $22. Unbelievable. I won’t be back here with these prices.

Frozen food at high costs, on the plus good milkshake but as for Hershey’s chocolate was very chocolate and the chili was from a can, I could have done better for cheaper. Not impressed

I’ve always been a huge fan of Johnny Rockets. This last visit made me rethink that. Service was okay, just slow. Great atmosphere. But it was the food prices for what you receive. Expensive for just an average burger. Just average. I don’t think I’ll return. Makes me sad. It’s been a tradition. Just can’t justify the price.

We experienced kind and efficient service on mothers day for lunch! I was alone with my two little ones (under 5) and we had a really nice lunch. I didn’t feel rushed or like a nuisance for asking for additional items. I wasn’t super impressed with the original burger that I ordered- primarily due to the non grilled or warmed bun I think, but we really enjoyed the fries and oreo shake which we all split.

“Johnny rockets at Mall of America is super good and affordable. The coffee shake was better than some milkshakes I have had. The seating was cool and aesthetically pleasing for me. 8/10.”
