When a restaurant advertises fine food, my expectations are a little higher. I ordered a veggies pasta dish. The good: the vegetables are all fresh, pasta cooked appropriately. My niece had Philly cheese steak and said it was good. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Checked out Joey’s and was really impressed. Our server was great, but I’m assuming the manager or owner also greeted us and gave suggestions (and samples) of local, craft beers! We got the nachos, BBQ chicken pizza, Grandmas pizza, the rodeo burger and buffalo chicken wrap. Great food and experience!

Sha-Keem gave us the most amazing service. We eat out a lot and he is one of the best service professionals we have had the pleasure of meeting. Perfectly timed orders of appetizers and entrees. Our drinks were always filled. Incredible. The food was fabulous too.

Joey’s has a service problem. We aren’t going there anymore. Your appetizer comes after your main dish. Servers don’t check on you or refill your drinks. Our last server spent our whole visit sweeping the floor. Too bad its one of the only choices around because we have experienced nothing but bad service. Food is just okay, too, and over priced.

Where do I begin…. First of all I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp. It had NO shrimp in it. The sauce was flooded with these red pepper things, disgusting. Not only did I leave hungry, but it wasnt worthy of taking home. My son who is 18 can clear a pizza by himself & barely ate half of his pizza. My husband did not like his food either. THEN we never really had one server. Several people seem to just stop by our table to check in on is. Very impersonal, needless to say no tip was given. The Calamari was not served like anywhere Ive ever ordered from. Served so small and saugy. Gross. I dont usually like to complain or even leave things on platforms like this but I must keep going. My bill was $91 plus change for three people who all were not satisfied so I decided to say something at the end of our meal. The waitress got the manager & I told her how unhappy we were & just to let you know the manager did nothing. She did not care & with a rude face said “have a nice day”. I just spent $90 plus dollars- still hungry and I will never go back.

The menu seems a bit limited compared to the original restaurant. Food was good though. My wife gave it thumbs up. I thought the pepperoni was on spicy side, so beware for the kids. We’ve been patrons of the original Joey’s for 10 years now. We associate this establishment or “brand” with quality and will continue to be patrons!

I went twice today…..my first time and my last time. A total waste of money. Service was terrible. Atmosphere definitely lacks. Chairs are so uncomfortable. There was no food that we ordered that arrived as ‘fine food’. The black and blue burger was so dry. I had to get some blue cheese dressing to dunk the meat in so I could get it down. Discarded the bun. It was a lot of dry bread. I despise wasting money. No chance I would ever go back.

Portions were enormous! We got nachos with chicken and beef. They did not skimp on the meat. I got the shrimp tacos with a side salad. The salad could have served 2 or 3 people. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. My husband got the Ribeye Sandwich. We thought it would be shaved steak, but it was a whole ribeye on the bread. It was quite cumbersome to eat, so hence the 4 stars. I finished it off with the Tuxedo cake. Oh my! It was absolutely delicious (insert when Harry met Sally scene here)! Our server, Quana, was genuinely pleasant and helpful. She made the experience great from the moment we sat down. It was quite cold in the restaurant, so that’s the reason for the 4 stars on atmosphere. We are not from the area, but frequent Lake Norman. We will go back!

What a great place. I’m somewhat of a cheesesteak conissur and its been a long time since I’ve had an awesome sandwich like Joey’s. Chris was the best! To top it off Chris suggested the creme Brule cheesecake and its to die for. Thank u Chris for a great experience!
