Joe’s Diner is now Saltgrass Steak House, an upgrade in dining to match the higher stakes when the Wildwood is rebranded as a Golden Nugget Casino. And the high end items on the menu may be worth it, but I ordered the cheeseburger and it was not. The bun was dry, pulled out of its wholesale cellophane wrapper and dumped on the plate with no treatment whatever. Even the Canadian custom of applying mayonnaise would have been welcome. I ordered the hamburger done medium but it was cooked to a dry grayness. The ideal of a juicy burger seemed beyond the kitchen tonight. The fries were chewy, like they were underdone, and served with three tablespoons of ketchup in a plastic cup. That rare source of moisture was soon gone however. The new management has done a decent job of decorating, but the 40 foot ceiling, wooden flooring, and open table arrangement creates a sound chamber that makes it difficult to hear others at the table. After all the promotional hype, I expected great things, only to be disappointed.

We came here on our last night in town. I wish we would have known that it was here because the food was absolutely fantastic! The portions were huge & everything was made according to our liking. The service was “meh” but who cares… keep the food & drinks coming.

When you walk in your first impression is “Wow! I’ll bet the food and the service is great!” Not so pilgrim. I had a salad with lettuce so old I’m sure it was on medicare. The service was slow and the servers uninspiring.

Worst burger and fries I’ve ever had. The beef patty looked, felt, tasted like a cheap frozen patty with no flavor. The fries were fried too long, crispy but greasy, no soft inside.

I have had a couple of issues at this restaurant this last time ticked me off so bad that I will not be coming back to the casino as well if they let it be run like this. First time I let go but this time I asked for extra butter for my toast and was told be charged for it. WHAT the ? Charged for a condiment. Thought was our specific waitress but after clarification was told that it was the policy of the restaurant. Also previously came for dinner and asked for separate check no cash as had played that, paying by credit card would not split bill how ridiculous is that? So now I have to send money for bill to another town as we met here at casino. but charging for butter was last straw. I was a regular and money I spend in the casino every month is in the hundreds and then they are also going to nickel and dime me at the restaurant. No way

Joe’s is now Saltgrass Steakhouse, I think it was pretty pricey for chicken fried steak and eggs . Toast was an extra charge. Total bill came out to be 63.00

Always a great place to have breakfast. 2 people only 8 bucks if you have a players card. Plus you have to get the discount slip at the kiosk before you pay….they no longer swipe the players card. But it’s still well worth it.

If I could give a -1000 stars I would!! This place was a joke! The food was the most disgusting food my husband and I had ever had!! How do you even screw up pancakes…. well just ask their cook cause that person did it perfectly! My husband’s prime rib was cold and not edible. We only had a few bites of all our food and couldn’t stomach another bite! Even our drinks were gross, iced tea and coke. We waited for our food for an hour even. DON’T GO HERE!!!!!! EWWWWWW!!!!! $50 for 2 people!
