Joe De’s opened up this weekend, so I tried it out today since it’s right around the corner from me (old Upper Crust location on Puritas). “Disappointed” is the word I’ll use to describe the experience. First of all, I don’t consider a 14-inch pizza to be large. The crust and sauce were OK, but the toppings were skimpy. The garlic bread was bland and not worth the $5.50 it cost. They didn’t even toss the wings in the sauce, the sauce came separately in containers. Once I tossed them, the wings were decent but not worth the price (15 wings for $20). These three items came to $40.50 and they definitely weren’t worth the price. I don’t see how this place will be able to compete in this area charging premium prices for average food. There are too many places that are way better.

So glad they finally opened up a new location. They had a devastating fire and closed and they were missed. Family run business that doesn’t forget your name or the community they serve. I walked in today to excellent customer service and more importantly, excellent pizza and fantastic tasting crispy wings. Wishing you much success in your new location. Their pizza was excellent..! I am so happy to hear that they moved into our neighborhood over here by Puritas Avenue- West park area, I’m from old Brooklyn area and they used to be over there this was the best pizza I’ve had in such a long time the vegetables are not chunky they’re perfect they put plenty of toppings their sadly was a nice sized small Friendly people When I called in my order and a friendly delivery driver was very kind.. Great tasting pizzas! You can tell they use the best ingredients. The bread is great and the sauce is just right! The customer service is tip top and the best I’ve had in a while. The person who took my order had a keen intellect and made sure to do a clean cut pizza to respect my religious beliefs without me even asking. Very respectful people and will be a returning customer.

I have *NOT* had the chance to try the food yet–but the service here is PHENOMENAL. I am a food delivery driver and picking up here is always a pleasure. There is rarely a wait, but even then I am offered food and/or drink on the house. I rarely accept (because I carry plenty of my own with me when working), but the offer is very much appreciated. I have a special place in my heart for Athens, not gonna lie, but I’m anxious to try the food here because I love going there so much!

I am a sucker for a good brick oven pizza. I am from the Detroit area, but was in Cleveland for business. was looking for a quick place to have lunch before heading back home and found this absolute gem. The pizza was absolutely amazing and the owner was very nice and made us feel at home. next time I’m in the area I will definitely be back! ps: off menu is the margarita Pizza you have to try it!

Best pizza in west park, amazing service such kind workers, very cozy atmosphere. I felt very welcomed and all employees are very kind-hearted and clean. Food was delicious, freshly made and cooked, this pizza was one of the best I’ve had and definitely would recommend trying it out!

This review is incredibly long overdue. For 25+ years, this family owned pizzeria has been apart of every birthday party, special occasion, and movie night in my family’s life. We’ve had the luxury of being within a 2 minute walk radius before the unexpected fire upon their building on Fulton road. This past weekend we noticed a sign announcing their new location and my family and I could not have been more thrilled to hear this news, but also ease that this good family we’ve known for years are all well, together and are continuing to serve the most delicious pizza and wings EVER! We’re so happy they are up and running in their newly renovated location on Puritas and hope they endeavor much more success and health!

We have been meaning to try this new pizza shop since it opened. The guy who who took my order was very nice. I liked that the crust isn’t to thick or too thin. It was a buttery crust and lightly burnt around the edges(in a good way, it added a slight smokiness to it). I will definitely be returning.
