We had a large group of 16 staying do one night on our way through town and were brought here by a local. It was a great place! The food was good, the restaurant is large and the atmosphere is unique since it is in an old church. You HAVE to get a breadstick when you go and yes you only need one! They are huge and mouth watering delicious! Joe himself was there to greet us which made it an even better experience! Local is best!

Cool location in an old Jewish temple. This place seems to be a hit with locals. Joe himself sat us which was very fun as he has owned and run this restaurant for 50 years! The pizza was good, fresh and not too oily. We had the thin crust but they have several options for crusts. For a college town pizza joint this place is better than most. The server turned out to be the bartender. We were there on a Friday and the place got slammed so the bartender was busy serving drinks (beer and wine, no hard liquor). We flagged down an employee to get 2go boxes and our check. Would certainly go back and look forward to seeing Joe again.

We were visiting here for the weekend for a conference and was looking for a great place to dine. We wasn’t sure what to expect but we’re definitely glad we stopped by! The wings here are so good and Terri our waitress did a great job serving us.We ate here again the next day! Joe was very personable with us. He was very sweet and the atmosphere was nice as well. A church turned into a restaurant, how cool!

Beautiful restaurant. The pizza was really good, not the best pizza imo; but unique and had great sauce and a good ratio of cheese and toppings. The bread sticks are huge and served in a dish of butter; leaving them dry until you dunk it yourself. The pasta seemed hit or miss, the spaghetti with red sauce was good; but the pasta with white sauces were disappointing.

I am a huge fan of Joe B’s. They have all you can eat spaghetti on Sundays which is a great deal. Their bread is huge and is served in butter. I have never had anything bad there. The service is usually great also. They are in an old converted church so the inside is impressive.

This place has to be considered a hidden gem in Lexington, KY!! We we’re sure if we should go… But then we smelled the garlic from across the street! Lol The breadstick w/butter … Buffalo chicken pizza… Fried veggies & fried cheese… awesome! Our waitress very pleasant! We had just dropped our son off for his freshman year at UK and stopped in before driving back to Fishers, IN… No one wanted to drive back home after eating! Lol We will return !!!!
