I love everything I have tried at JJs Side Street Deli. Food is always Hot and Fresh. Prices are reasonable. Service is SPECTACULAR . I am so glad they opened here. Hours are very convenient. 10 to 3 Monday thru Thursday 10 to 9 on Friday and Saturday. You can also check out some great items in the Emporium while your there.

Today JJ’s offered homemade Pimento Cheese sandwiches. Regular or grilled, the sandwich was light, flavorful with a touch of chopped jalapeño mixed into the spread. My sister and I both went and complimented the gentleman that made the PC. If it’s offered when you next visit, go for it.

Solid cafe serving sandwiches and other fare in a truly unique atmosphere. This deli is located inside an antique emporium. Nice setting with booths and tables. You order at the counter and they call your number. JJ is a really nice guy. I picked up a couple lobster rolls (a special that week). They were nearly $16 each (reasonable for a quality lobster roll) but I was skeptical. When I got home and opened the box I was impressed. This lobster roll was stuffed with meat. The roll (I think the authentic ones like the ones in Maine) was perfect. Buttered and toasted perfectly. It came with potato chips. Ii would get this again. A week later a friend brought me some banana pudding. This was quite good as well. I have heard through a reliable source that their loaded spuds are huge and tasty. Do some shopping at the booths before or after the meal.

I try and support local owned businesses when possible. Eating here is not only doing this, but the food is delicious The reuben sandwich is awesome. They have specialty foods on occasion as well. When done eating, you can browse through some cool items at the Emporium. For dessert; there is a place to get some ice cream. It’s located at the front of the store. Be sure to check out this place, it’s more then just food.
