Pretty good, exactly how I expected it to taste. Came a little late on DoorDash but was still piping hot. General Tso chicken taste like bland orange chicken but it was still somewhat tasty. The fried rice was great and the bao buns were a little wet but still delicious. Won ton soup was full of fresh vegetables but the broth lacked taste. I’m still giving them 4 stars because everything was really cheap and this place is a great bang for your buck. Would I go back, probably not but it served it’s purpose.

Recently moved to Signal Hill, needed a Chinese food fix. My prior local was Chens. Ordered Aloha $10 Fried Rice and $10 Beef w Garlic. Fried rice, ordinary, its like regular steamed rice w some items thrown in. Beef is OK, definitely not made w the love I’ve experienced elsewhere. Bottom line: OK in an emergency.

The food here was fabulous! They made it fresh once I placed the order. I chose JJ’s of all the Chinese restaurants in the area because they had egg foo young and I have not had that in ages so it was fabulous. I got the house of young and it had whole shrimps in it . Almost one in every bite, seriously!

We literally order here once or twice a month. Service is super fast and consistent. The orange chicken is bomb, and the best we’ve had in the area. Decent prices too!

Decent reviews and bao on the menu, which I love and isn’t very common, led me to try JJ. The bao was excellent, which is fortunate because almost everything else was seriously disappointing. The first clue that the food would not be as expected was the large (8-10 oz) container of sweet and sour sauce on the side instead of on the sweet and sour shrimp I’d ordered. Then I opened the container I’d expected to find full of sauceless sweet and sour shrimp and found that all that it contained was 10 over battered and under fried shrimp (it’s not just the egg rolls they undercook). No pineapple, onion, bell pepper, maybe some carrots combo, just fried shrimp. The lack of vegetables turned out to be a theme. The only veggies in the bag at all turned out to be the bed of shredded cabbage under the pot stickers, which the worst I’ve ever had. They were unseasoned lumps of mashed meat wrapped in unseasoned dough apparently meant to take all of their flavor from the overly sweet dipping sauce. The egg drop soup was broth, egg and salt lack the depth of flavor that having vegetables in the mix gives it. The only thing besides the bao that didn’t disappoint was the cheese wantons, which were fine but not exceptional.
