Well even though our past few experiences were not good we decided that after a year we would try Jings again on the chance the food was better. Nope, didn’t work out at all. In fact I think the food went further down hill. The chicken fingers had so much batter they were inedible. The crab Rangoon was so over fried they were like little bricks, the chicken fried rice I ordered was pork fried rice and it was flavorless. But, the egg foo young was good. Done… this time for ever.

I went because I heard the place is under new management, and because I was really hoping for a good Chinese Restaurant near home. I ordered General Chicken, Pork Lo Mein and Hot & Sour Soup, which together cost over $40. Oddly, no rice was provided. The chicken was heavily breaded and we did not care for it. The other items were “OK.” In my opinion there are better options nearby.

Everytime I’ve ordered/attempted to order from them they tell me they don’t have something that is listed on their menu, they don’t offer any small portion sizes for anything so if you’re single or just ordering for yourself expect to dump your wallet into leftovers. Food itself is average.

Had the General chicken loved it. Didn’t like that rice was not included but it’s not a deal breaker.

Ordered a luncheon special that has beef teriyaki included. I substituted the beef for chicken teriyaki. I was charged $1 extra for the change of my order. The chicken teriyaki is cheaper than the beef but yet I was charged extra for the cheaper option.

I have to say that I’m quite the connoisseur when it comes to Chinese Food. Especially the Fried Rice. It’s my Favorite. Hantos use to be my #1. That is until I got a luncheon special from Jings’s. The Pork Fried Rice was delicious as were the Boneless Ribs. General Gau Chicken was very good

Meh. The food wasn’t necessarily bad but it was unbelievably bland. I tried 2 different chicken dishes and a pork dish and they all tasted the same (ie bland unseasoned meat & vegetables). None of the sauces had any flavor at all. Even with adding salt it was disappointing. The lo mein tasted like plain noodles that had a slight dash of soy sauce added and then rinsed off. The wonton soups only flavor was when you got a piece of green onion on the spoon. Definitely disappointed as the food looked amazing when we unpacked it. The one positive is the vegetables definitely tasted fresh.
