Stopped in for breakfast and had the western omelet. This is a true small town diner with great people running it. The staff were friendly and attentive. It is a little bit away from downtown but, in reality, only a few minutes. Give them a try!

Great little place! Very, very good food. I had both the sausage and bacon gravy, you should too. The pancakes are absolutely delicious, and as thick as a box of matches! The service was fabulous-Ms. Tina was very attentive,and the yummy food came out really quick.. What makes this place special isn’t just the food or even the service, it’s the people that come and dine here. At one table are four men solving the problems of the world, one light hearted argument at a time, at another table is couple just getting started in life, and at another table is a couple who’s life together has seen many elections, trials, and excitement. This.. This right here.. This is what makes Jimmy’s Diner, and many places like it, special. This is what makes America, great.

If there is one thing Saline County doesn’t lack, it’s a nice selection of amazing breakfast spots, and Jimmy’s is no different. The decor and atmosphere is homey and inviting, and the food tastes like they stopped by your grandma’s place to pick it up on the way to your table. Portions are generous and won’t break the bank, plus they have a buffet day that I plan to check out soon!

Had the “chicken fried steak” today. It was smaller than the meat in a McDonalds hamburger. Tiny. Dry. No taste. The Brussels were soggy. And the cornbread was hard as a hockey puck. Chicken fried steak should always be half the size of the plate or bigger. It was noon when we are there, so the food should have been fresh and tasty. It was definitely not. Total disappointment. The server was friendly. Only reason I have this place more than 1 star. Way overpriced for the food I received. Won’t be back.
