Ok, there are new restaurants and they are all getting nicer and nicer. This place took over the corner where El tequila was. They totally revamped the interior. Beautiful wood ceilings and an exceptional entry area. Prices were high as expected, but you get what you pay for and the food was exceptional. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful experience! The interior is mid-century fresh. All of the surfaces feature luxury appointments. My favorite was the plush curved booth I shared with my husband. The menu is a fine selection of simple ingredients prepared well like shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, filet, etc. Be sure to take the fresh ground pepper. They have a premium Peugeot grinder that stands at least two feet tall. Ben, our server, was courteous and knowledgeable. When confronted with an allergy issue, he worked with the kitchen to provide suitable alternatives. Any visit has to include surveying the “wall of Jimmy’s”. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

I had a wonderful dinner at Jimmy’s Chophouse tonight. The restaurant has a cozy and elegant atmosphere, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. I ordered the 12oz Prime KC Strip, which was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The crispy Bacon Brussels sprouts and the baked potato were also very tasty. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable for the quality. We will definitely be back to try more dishes from their menu. Jimmy’s Chophouse is a great place to enjoy a special occasion or a casual night out.

I read a review of Jimmy’s Chophouse in the Tulsa World. It was a positive review and I saw that they offered one of my husband’s favorite pies, coconut cream. Since it was my husband’s birthday in a few days, I really wanted him to have a delicious meal at a nice, quiet place. So I made a reservation online noting on that it was for his birthday. When we arrived, Lily greeted us at the entrance and wished him a happy birthday. He said he was looking forward to a piece of their coconut cream pie. Her face fell when she said they had run out of coconut cream pie so he said, “let’s just leave and go somewhere else.” I insisted we stay and give it a chance. As the evening wore on, and the food was good, he got a little bit happier. At the end, our waitress, Savannah, cleared the table and put two forks on the table. My husband quietly said we were not having dessert. She smiled gently like a Madonna and said, “just wait a minute.” And then the manager, Lindsey, came out with a huge candlelit piece of coconut cream pie. It turns out that she is also the manager of the Wild Fork, where they make the pies served at Jimmy’s. She had driven over to the Wild Fork at Utica Square while we were eating so that he could have this piece of pie for his birthday. The pie alone was worth the visit to Jimmy’s as it was the best coconut pie I have ever eaten. He said it was the best birthday he had ever had. It brought me to tears that she had gone to that extent for two ordinary people. We were both glowing as we left and woke the next morning with a grateful smile on our faces thinking of our evening at Jimmy’s.

Very very slow to take our orders. Even slower to get our food. The prices are high for what they serve. We were there for 2hrs from start to finish, and had to go up front to pay our individual checks. She forgot to bring my beverage of choice. So after 10 minutes I walked to the bar and retrieved my beverage. The food was not exceptional as stated on News Channel 6 this morning.

Great place! Paid $20 for a Sazerac… They are $8 or $10 anywhere else on Brookside. The little ramekin with the Lay’s potato chips was a nice touch of class! Other than that, it’s a great addition to the B-Side area.
