Where to begin,… from the start, we arrived at 5:45 and the OPEN neon sign was not on and there’s a New Management sign. We walked in, and it didn’t have an inviting feel. It needs a lot of maintenance, place is run down, needs TLC, and a lot of superficial clean-up. Soda fountain doesn’t work so your only options are the soda cans and options are very limited. Nonetheless, we convinced ourselves to stay and give it a try. I ordered a regular cheeseburger with fries. My burger was surprisingly good. Meat had flavor, patty was fair size and had a good ‘home made’ taste. Came with the chopped/shredded lettuce which I always prefer. Thankfully I love mayo because it came with a good portion. But if you’re not fond of mayo, I recommend getting it on the side. The fries lacked flavor and weren’t crispy. My husband ordered the fried mushrooms and they were awful. Some were still cold and frozen. We ended up throwing away. My daughter ordered the Hickory burger and it had too much BBQ sauce and the grilled onions in the burger were missing. She ordered curly fries and those weren’t good either. They had an undesirable seasoning and odd after taste. I’ll consider visiting again, if management changes.

Love the burger. But horrible customer service, because they don’t speak English, we have to request napkins because they don’t have anything on the tables, no napkins no catchup, no mayonnaise, no salt and pepper, no utensils, no dishes. We have to request it. I would take it to-go next time. The floor is very slippery due to the polish it’s not safe for heels. Some the waitress are rude and some are nice.

This location (14th Street) is not actually a Jimmy’s Big Burger anymore. It is now called Smokin’ Grill Xpress. Food was good, burgers were a decent size, and cooked well (good quality & juicy but not greasy). It didn’t taste like a traditional American burger as flavors from the grill & other foods they serve were very noticeable in the burger. Onion rings & mozzarella sticks were really good.

The place is nice and clean with several options to choose from. I ordered my meal to go. The service was fairly quick. However not the best prices for a small hamburger joint. I’ve had better for more reasonable pricing. I ordered the #8 jalapeño cheese burger with a side of curly fries. I say side because that was was listed on the menu as sides. They gave a large take out plate of fries. They weren’t cold but not hot so maybe warm, in fact almost tasted as if they were reheated. I also ordered a junior burger meal for my daughter which also came with fries and a drink. I was not given a cup for her drink. But no worries my daughter enjoyed her burger. I on the other hand ate mine but it really lacked taste. The hamburger patty was well done (no problem) but it tasted like a cafeteria style patty. No seasoning. Had a lot of jalapeños and pickles along with the usual LTO. Would I go back, no. Only because again the price for 1 burger and 1 kids meal and a side of curly fries was $18.92.
