Had lunch with the work crew at Jimmy Pearl’s at 7th Street Marketplace. The people working here are super nice and the seafood smelled fantastic.

Blessed To Be A Blessing
I don’t know where all of these great reviews came from for this restaurant because it is absolute TRASH! The catfish is NOT catfish. The collard greens are tough and flavorless and served very sloppy. The pork chop sandwich was a large bone with barely any meat on it and tough and undercooked. The serrol drink is overpriced and bland. And the shrimp & grits were served with old lumpy, stale grits. The shrimps were not fresh. AND they topped it with those disgusting collard greens! I don’t know where they got that awful recipe from but it needs to go back to the pits of hell. I spent $85 on this TRASH! I highly recommend going to any of the other places in the market besides this one. I want a refund! Better yet… I will NEVER come here again. This is a TRUE review!

This food was amazing. We got a crab cake, Uncle Gene’s fish sandwich and potato thingies. Crab cake was delicious and perfectly cooked. Just enough binding to hold it together. The fish was cooked perfectly, crispy outside, tender inside and seasoned beautifully. The potato thingies were fried well and seasoned perfectly as well. Highly recommend.

Ate here for the first time last weekend. Fish sandwich was amazing! Daily catch was catfish, which I’m not big on but I loved it. Hot sauce was perfectly mild (for those like me who like some heat but not hot-hot). Will definitely be back!

Loved the fish sandwich here! I asked for it to be made extra crispy and they got it just right. I also enjoyed their homemade hot sauce. This is my new spot for seafood. Parking is validated & located on 6th and 7th Street.

Found this gem in The Market on 7th Street. The food and service were both amazing! The stand out for me (surprisingly) were the gizzards. Seasoned to perfect and unbelievably tender. The fish sandwich was not far behind in taste. I would definitely be returning to try more items from their menu.

Multiple food bloggers recommended this small family owned joint and I see why. The field pea slaw is everything, not to dismiss the fried fish (flounder that day) which was very good too.

Food: Fish Sandwich is a definite try. I’ll warn you that due to the slaw and hot sauce on the bottom bun it gets messy. But it’s really good!

Five star food and service. The fish sandwich is incredibly tasty. The fish rotates daily and we happened to come on catfish day. Score! The only issue with the sandwich was the bottom bun gets soggy from the sauce. No biggie though, used a fork.

The food was on point. I have never had a gizzard so tender. They created a standard on fried chicken gizzards. Normally gizzards are tough and these weren’t. If you love fried gizzards this is the place. The fish sandwich was good as well. The sorrel was good too. Customer service was excellent as well too. This is a highly recommended place to eat. P
