Not sure what is happening with the Lake Forest Jimmy John’s. Second time I have ordered food and there has been an issue… First time, I was told they were out of bread, and so I said, ok when can you deliver the food and was told, we aren’t delivering any food. Figured it was a fluke so I just ordered, 1hr later, nothing so I called them and was told, we don’t have any drivers so we will give you a refund. When I said were you going to notify anyone that you’re unable to take food orders and was told, no, we aren’t. When I asked if I could pick up the food, I was told yes but they didn’t make the order since they planned to cancel it.

STARVING IN LAKE FOREST…We waited TWO HOURS for two plain slims to arrive. Paid the delivery fee and the tip for what?!? Manager complained to me about this large order he was working on, and the fact they don’t have enough employees to deliver food. My food sat on thier counter for TWO HOURS (just meat on bread) and arrived WARM. I was actually SCARED to eat it, but I didn’t get the REFUND I asked for even after calling CORPORATE. Jimmy Johns is great at taking your MONEY, but not so good at delivering the goods. I actually USED to love this place, but WHY CAN’T YOU CALL ME after 30 minutes to let me know you can’t deliver my food for TWO HOURS and give me my refund so I can eat somewhere else?

I am not one to write reviews, but I had to share our experience. Never in my life have I had a sandwich so disappointing as I did today. There was so little on it, you would think it was just bread. I ordered a ham and cheese and added avocado spread to it. There was a total of 3 slices of meat, 2 slices of cheese, a little bit of lettuce and tomato and I had to hunt for the avocado spread. There was no flavor to the sandwich other than the taste of bread. I have had far better sandwiches from less expensive chains. I really miss Togo’s right now.

Walked in for dinner and was told they were out of turkey. I was willing to be flexible and substitute ham or roast beef on a sandwich typically made with turkey. I was informed it would be extra cost. How can you charge extra when it is the store’s fault and a majority of sandwiches have turkey? Would a discount have been given for a sandwich with turkey left off? Horrible customer service. Left immediately without ordering anything.

Went to order, waited 15 minutes and still didn’t receive our sandwhiches. Someone else came in to pick up the order and ask the associated where it was, the employee said they were backed up with other orders and they don’t even have enough bread to make all the sandwiches.

First visit to this franchise was great. I’ve been a fan of Jimmy Johns for years while I was stationed in Chicago. Even when I moved back to Vegas we had them out there. It’s nice to have the best sandwich shop within an easy bicycle ride away now. While I was there, the store was holding two group interviews which was okay, but somewhat off-putting. I always get the gargantuan sandwich, and it never disappoints.

I’ve been going to this location since they closed the one off Bake and Trabuco. I usually don’t like to post negative comments, but after my last interaction with this location I felt it necessary to warn others. Mistakes can be made in an order, we’re all human, but this location has managed to screw it up roughly 50% of the time for me. That alone wouldn’t warrant a post like this, but after watching the staff accost a patron yesterday while trying to order I’ve had enough. I love Jimmy Johns and will continue to buy, just never again from this location. I’d advise you think twice about doing so as well.
