I had an online order that was placed on Saturday evening 8/19. The store called to inform me that they ran out of French bread, wheat bread and lettuce wraps so they were going to refund my money. I called Monday 8/21 to ensure that the refund was processed come to find out that it was never voided so they can only offer credit. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude, and condescending. I was offered a credit and not a refund which in some sense would be OK but not when the balance is near $40 I had to go through their actual corporate customer service who had to submit a case for them to actually process a refund and it’s possible I still may not even get a refund the service was awful and I wish the employees Were able to complete the tasks at hand, especially when it comes to someone’s money.

We don’t live in Albuquerque, but stopped by this store 6/17/23 before attending a wedding. The employees were rude, slow to get the food out, then they told us that we still needed to pay for our food. We showed them the receipt. They said the credit card transaction did not show up on their computer. So we logged into our credit card app and showed them the pending transaction. They said it didn’t matter, their “district manager” told them we still had to pay twice and then take it up with our credit card company later if it double charged us. We we’re running late for the wedding and needed to feed the kids so we sucked it up and paid again knowing we could dispute it later. They were the worst sandwiches – single slice of ham, 1/2 slice cheese, wilted lettuce. The people here are rude, dishonest, and terrible sandwich makers.

On a road trip traveling 800+ miles in a day, stopped in and ordered 4 sandwiches to go in person. Ordered our daughter a slim #4 and all she got was bread – no turkey. We were 10+ miles away by the time we realized it. Tried to call the number on the receipt – no answer. The other sandwiches were not up to our normal Jimmy Johns sandwiches – overloaded them with hot peppers and the bread was uneven in shape like it wasn’t baked properly. Also had no ice for drinks. Overall service left us feeling like we were a burden for being there. I hear the bathrooms were clean which is why they got one star.

***Update to over a week later: Both my wife and I suffered the first and only event of foodborne illness either of us have had to from this visit. Both of us suffered from nausea, vomiting and diarrhea after eating this. Never, NOT ONCE in the last 20 years have I ever gotten sick from a restaurant, until I ate at this Jimmy John’s. We had no reason to get sick and the conditions at this place will most certainly get someone sick, again. Hopefully not a child or elderly person. Obviously the owners of this store don’t care.***

My family and I are in town for a baseball tournament and we stopped at this Jimmy Johns to grab some sandwiches to take to our games. My husband ordered a giant unwhich not knowing that was not an option. The gentleman working the register seemed to be new and did not know that was not an option and was told very rudely by another employee that unwhich Are not available in giant. My husband then said that was fine and a regular would be fine. It took longer than normal to make our sandwiches but I was totally fine with that as I understood. After my bag being ready I noticed 2 giant subs and let them know one of these was supposed to be an unwhich. The gentleman then yelled at the other two in front of us saying I Fu—ing told you guys this was supposed to be an unwhich. I told him it was fine but I need another unwhich he then snapped back with “I don’t have the stuff to make another one used it all on yours” We asked for a refund because that was not what we ordered. I then went and stood in front of the cash register to retrieve the refund and was met by the same rude employee who looked at me and said “What”. I was appalled. I said my refund and he said very rudely I already did it. As we were leaving he said that he was sorry in a very sarcastic Tone while just staring at us. He then proceeded to call my husband an a$$hole as my husband left (probably believing my husband was out of eat shot) There we’re also two other patrons in the store. I have never experienced such an appalling lack of customer service.

Normally this location is excellent – fast service, good food. It took an hour for my 1 sandwich, 1 drink, 1 bag of chips to be delivered and I live very close; this I can overlook, maybe they were really busy. They remembered to leave out the cheese, but they forgot to cut my sandwich in half and the lemonade they gave me was water. I am disappointed. 🙁
