Best gyros I’ve ever had. Plentiful portions and very friendly service. Right off the square in town so you can’t miss it! 10/10

If you like gyros you need to give them a try. They only have gyros, Greek salad & fries. At lunch time they are crazy busy so plan ahead or avoid that rush.

I heard about this restaurant, but finally got a chance to go when I had time off & cash in hand. It’s a small, but welcoming eatery. I ordered a sandwich and fries to go, which cost a bit over $10, but was definitely worth it. Welcoming facility with owner & wife to greet and cook for you, which isn’t common nowadays, espeically with drive thrus telling you to wait with only 2 cars ahead. If you have the time and cash (they only take cash), it is definitely worth it to stop by this diamond in the rough.

Best place to get a gyro in Southern Illinois. They have an extremely small menu but you received huge portions. And it’s cash only… No credit card or debit card accepted.

Very delicious and filling hole in the wall.. which are the BEST places to eat. Gyro (pronounced YEE RO) sandwiches and stew are spectacular! The meat is beef and lamb. Place opened in 1977 and had way more food options. But the menu now is simple, which makes it easy for indecisive people. Even though this place is ran by a man and a woman, which at times sound like they are married, they are not, lol. Service is super, very friendly and helpful! Now GO EAT!

Excellent Greek food. Small menu – you come here for the gyros- they are fresh and very tasty. But, you shouldn’t leave before trying the baklava. The owner makes it fresh every day and it’s his mother’s family recipe. I’m from Chicago and have had a lot of Greek food. This was by far the best baklava I’ve ever had. I was only here the one time and it’s obviously a local favorite – several customers stopped by just to get the baklava. Try to get there well before closing, because they can sell out. I enjoyed talking to the owner- he cares about the community and the food he serves.
