I was in Iowa City for work and wanted to try something new. JiangHu Asian Street Food seemed to have a big menu with lots of dishes not served at typical Asian restaurants. Count me in!

Had spicy beef noodles from here last year, amazing. The broth and noodles with all the add-ins had us talking about that bowl all year! Came back this year and had Singapore noodles and wonton soup. LARGE portions. The noodles are curry based, loaded with veggies, chicken and shrimp. The wontons in the soup were silky pockets of flavor that burst in my mouth. So good and fun to eat! We will be talking about this meal until we return to try something new. Sooo good!!

We were looking for a quick lunch while in Iowa City and stumbled across Jianghu Asian street food. It was delicious. We got the beef skewers, which were well seasoned however they were a little spicy for my husband. We also got the BBQ duck and pork rice, I recommend mixing the pork belly with the rice as it makes a delicious sauce. Overall it was a pleasant experience and er will be back in the future.

The food was good. I enjoyed the orange chicken and felt like they give a generous serving. The service was also really good. I think it would’ve been nice if they had free water rather than just sweet drinks for purchase.

Tried the dry pot and mapo tofu and both were pretty good. The dry pot depends what they have out on display.

Quick and easy stop, had my food ready in 10 mins. Ordered sweet and sour tofu entree with a bun skewer. Very delicious and service was excellent. Definitely recommend for a quick bite!

Based purely on food quality this would be a 4. However. The bowl shown below where u weight your own VEGETABLES cost me 29$. Seriously. That’s a the cost of a. Large bone in rib-eye at a local chain steakhouse. I thought about jus walking out before eating but manners got the best of me. Hate feeling ripped off and there’s no indication how much the weigh your own is going to cost u. Poor value decent food.

If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. I made a reservation for dinner on Saturday night, August 12, at 7:30. This was a special birthday dinner. I received both email and text messages from “Ian Huang” confirming and reminding me of my appointment, up to 30 minutes before. When we arrived at 7:25, I was told that they did not have my reservation, because I didn’t email them. They were emailing me! I showed the girl at the counter my text messages, and she said their “system” must be bad. No attempt to compensate or make amends – discount? gift card? maybe another booking? Very bad business practice – any small token could have prevented this bad review. I get the sense that the people running this place do not know what they are doing and should stick to a food cart or take out only. Will never return, would NOT recommend. DO NOT GO.

Our absolute favorite in town. The hand pulled noodles are a hit in our house even with the kids!
