The food was delicious! We will definitely be going back. Our server was knowledgeable about everything on the menu. She was very helpful with picking out my vegan options. The only complaint was there were dirty hand prints all over the wall by our table but everything else seemed really clean.

Everything was absolutely amazing from the mango lasi to the poori. Wow just wow. Best Indian I have ever had! The chutneys were out of this world on the naan and poori. The mango lasi was sweet and tangy and gone in 5 minutes. Veggie fritters in the bombai masala were out of this world delicious. Staff was friendly. Food is made to order so expect a little bit of a wait. Will be back!

We ordered the mixed tandoor platter with chicken lamb and shrimp. And we also had shrimp vindaloo. Everything was fresh and seasoned so well! All of the sauces were fresh and we loved everything! Highly recommend!

Decent Indian food. Family owned and the owner came to specifically ask how to customize the food. Malai kofta was decent but I have definitely had better. Rotis could be roasted a bit more.

Excellent food with a lot of vegan options! Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for Indian food.

It is the best Indian food I have had in Maine. Tried all the Indian places in Portland and this is better than them all.

Nice Indian food, loved the service too. Only gripe was the naan bread was served 10 minutes before the gravy and the tandoori platter was served. The paneer tika was more like ginger garlic paneer gravy.

I haven’t been here to jewel of india for at least a decade and the food still taste the same from then and it hasn’t changed at all….it is a classic case of if it ain’t broke don’t fix it…nothing hasn’t changed and that is for the good…….please jewel of india don’t change what you are doing what your doing is perfect stay true to yourself much appreciated sincerely Patrick Rivera

Hands down. Best Indian restaurant in all of Maine and Newhampshire I would say. Being an indian i can say the flavors are authentic and as close as it can get to traditional cuisine.

Homemade Nan bread was good but for a 33$ meal I was very underwhelmed with a medium take-out container of lamb stew, Nan bread and a small container of whit rice.
