I travel quite a bit for work and by far this is one of my favorite places to eat and my favorite PA spot. You walk in the place and it has a homey feel like the old show CHEERS. The wings are good and I love the fries. They have a nice beer selection on tap and food is very reasonably priced. Wednesday Wing nights $9 twelve piece is probably the best deal in the country. Fast friendly service but get there a little before 5pm to get a table because it starts to fill up fast after that.

Nice old-school bar and grill out in, you guessed it, Jerseytown. The food is good and they have a decent selection of domestic brews. It’s a real down home local hangout place, feels comfy and nice in there with all the wooden timbers and such. The food is very good. I got a burger J-town style, with bacon, cheese, mushrooms, and onions. I also had some wings as I happened to stop in on Wing Wednesday. They were also good. And this place makes their own excellent fresh cut fries. Great spot. I will definitely return, as it is an excellent place to visit when you are hungry from walking the trails at Montour Preserve.

Ordered hot wings they had no taste at all got the spinach dip was very runny with no flavor at all and greasy triangle things to dip it in. I will not order here again or recommend to anyone. I was also treated very nasty by one of their employees who was playing a game on his phone he acted like it was huge problem to wait on me.

Just two stars for wheelchair accessibility. (Everything else was great!) They have a ramp to get into the restaurant, but it is nearly impossible to get into the bathroom, especially when the place is crowded. As depicted by the pictures, the door to the bathroom is very narrow, and you have to make a tight turn to get into the women’s room, which is otherwise spacious. I’m in a manual chair, and only just fit under the tables. The food was delicious and the service was good!

*****Edited*****This place has become sort of ho-hum. This Tavern used to be well known for their incredible burgers. Not anymore! They use frozen “Cloud” burgers now, which are gross. Their Club sandwich is a chicken breast with 2 slices of bacon and a small piece of lettuce on 2 slices of marbled rye toast. Their “Cheddar Stuffed burger” isn’t a burger at all….. it’s more like a chopped up glob of bbq with some cheese inside it plopped on a hoagie roll, no “burger” patty whatsoever. Their wings on Wednesday nights are pretty good though. Service is always great, wait staff is friendly and attentive. Nice traditional tavern atmosphere. Cold beer. They just need to work on the food a little bit. Make real handmade burger patties like they used to!
