Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

The worst jersey mikes location you could possibly think of. After ordering lunch here continually online and my sandwich not once being done when I arrive I’ve given up on this location. Doesn’t matter how big you tip or don’t tip if you order online expect to sit around for another 10-15 minutes to wait for your sandwich. I’d understand if it was busy but today I showed up 10 min after my sandwich should have been done and again waiting another 15 for it. UPDATE: i emailed the guy below me as asked and just like their in store service I got zero response. Avoid this location and drive another few miles to the next one. They clearly dont care here.

Consistently if I order online, it will take longer than promised to get my order. The folks in line get prioritized. I wait 45 minutes for my order to be done and they are eating in 10. Yes I know they’re short-handed, but orders need to be prioritized equally. Often I will just drive a little further to the Poway Rd store because of shorter waits.

My online order did not go to my “preferred location” that was set in my online profile. I entered an online complaint and am working with the franchise customer relations to resolve the issue with the online ordering system, not this location. Having paid for a sandwich online, I was disappointed to leave the store without a sandwich. I’m sure the staff at my preferred location would have promptly made me a sandwich, but I didn’t want to pay a second time.

Mike’s has engineered an incredible experience in a new modern landscape. The app is great, simple, accurate, reliable. Linked to anywhere u want to pick up a sub… almost effortlessly. And this particular location goes the extra mile with friendly faces and on time readiness even at peak times. Food quality, spot on. Consistently. I’ve been coming here since they opened, Moreso when amazon opened on the hill, and would drive further just to come to pomerado for the most consistent positive experience I’ve found in San Diego. Now… don’t mess it up guys. It just takes once.
