Cancro Special
Provolone, roast beef and pepperoni. In the summer of ’74, the Pepsi delivery man requested a curious combination of provolone, roast beef, and pepperoni. Peter Cancro’s brother, John, liked the sandwich so much, he gave it the family name and a menu spot of its own.

Laughter Heals
Stopped to pick up sandwiches for a picnic. Store Lobby needed to be cleaned, paper on the floor and trash needed to be emptied. At the time we were the only customers in the sandwich shop. 6 employees 4 of them just standing around while one was working in the back and the other slicing meat for sandwiches. Felt like one of them could have been sweeping and emptying trash.

Ordered the giant Philly Steak. Worst sandwich ever. They used frozen meat of some kind. It did not look like nor had the taste or texture of beef. Was too salty. Just really bad. Unfortunately I had to catch a train or I would have gone back to ask for a refund. What happened to fresh.

My disabled elderly mom went to this business as a customer and parked in the clearly marked handicap parking spot with her placard displayed, and the owner had her vehicle towed which resulted in her being without her vehicle alone at night on a dangerous street and having to spend over $500 to get her vehicle out of impound. What kind of man would do something like that? I sure wouldn’t trust him, let alone the food. The impound yard and driver told her that he is notorious for doing this to many handicap people. She lives on a fixed income and can not afford this. I would absolutely recommend not giving this man any business.

Always been a Jersey Mikes fan but the store was disgusting when I visited. You’re going to get people sick serving in these unsanitary conditions. Mayo left out, cross contamination, filthy meat cutter, stale bread in the afternoon. Really disappointing.
