The menu price had $5.95 but he charged me $9. The fries were not well cooked and the bread for the sandwich was stale. As he handed me my meal, he said he did not put that much meat on my sandwich. Huh? What?!?

The chicken is so good! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. I wish rice came with all dinners because it’s a subpar side. The sides can be a hit or miss some days. This day was a miss for those overcooked plantains. The other reviews about the wait are true, but you can call ahead and just pick up so I don’t see that as a problem.

Terrible customer service. The food is good though, I just hate how ghetto and ratchet it is. You call to ask questions they get mad, or they hang up on you. Also they don’t have a lot of standard Jamaican dishes like brown stew chicken.

really really good food. I mean man the jerk tacos. the chicken especially since I like white meat and not everybody can make juicy tender white meat. the cabbage is one of a kind and amazing. the jerk sauce by far is my favorite and the French fries are phenomenal. granted it’s in my hometown of Gary which has been thru it’s fair share of turmoils so the building isn’t in the best shape but the lobby is clean. I’d like to see more cleanliness with the cooks and the kitchen area but I’ve never had issues with my food. beware the owner is slightly rude but if you get to know him he’s actually a very nice guy. plus when I went to Jamaica I experienced the same type of service rude but friendly…. guess that’s why they call them “dem rude Boyz”

It was ok. Jerk choice is better in Lansing Illinois the sauce was nasty , the rice was too sweet and the greens too much vinegar. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWESOME THOUGH!

Food was ok, the sides was definitely not as good as it should be . Had the Mac and red beans and rice and was disappointed but the chicken made up for it. I’ll try again one day but without the sides .
