Once upon time Jerk Sauce was the spot! However, it has slowly declined in the quality and freshness of the food. The food I don’t recommend rice & peas taste stale, cabbage, yam, potato salad taste old!!! Disgusting …Plantains are fresh and seafood ( made to order) everything else sits out all day paid $53 for two meals which is a rip off. The atmosphere is not welcoming, the store is dirty, dark, and no one never dines in… staff look tired never smile I recommend Caribbean Cafe! On Hampton University Campus

Very good places to stop for lunch. The oxtail were decent. The sauce lack the extra kick I like in sauce. Prices seem to fluctuate or underestimated by looking at menu. They were out of alot of things such as shrimp and lack vegetarian dishes. Coworkers complained. Still would revisit for lunch

I went here for the first time on my lunch break. I’ve never had stewed chicken and wanted to try it. For my sides I ordered sweet potatoes and yellow rice. Everything had nice proportions. The price wasn’t bad either for what I bought. It wasn’t spicy(I like spicy). I enjoyed what I got, ordered online and food was ready when I got there.

It was okay. We were visiting some relatives and wanted to try some Jamaican food. The place came highly recommend by our relatives who frequent there. The woman attending to us was really nice. The only issue was the rice and peas tasted like burnt rice. It threw off the taste of the whole meal. … Since the service was good, we’d probably give it a try the next time we come to visit.

Mac and cheese was OLD. Greens either frozen or from a can without seasoning. I asked young lady to wrap up oxtails so they do not leak all over bag. They leaked in the bag and my cat seat.

The large plate of oxtails cost $27 and they were ok but I only got 3 oxtails. The greens were good. The rice & peas weren’t good, the Mac & cheese was really dry and didn’t taste good either.

I wish I could give zero stars for customer service and food. First,We were not even acknowledged when we came in but I tried to get past it for the culture. We ordered the large jerk pasta and large oxtails, mac,cabbage, rice and peas which came to 50 something. The food was definitely old and reheated, the oxtails were slimy, the cabbage was like mush, the Mac was clearly made days before, frozen ,thawed and re-served. We didn’t even eat 5 bites a piece before we trashed it. Unfortunately It was for a horrible experience for us.

Mannnnn listen! My hubby just strolled in the house with these oxtails, pepper steak, rice and peas, mac and cheese, cabbage, and yams and let me tell you…the pepper steak was tender, the oxtails fell off the bone, the yams were grandmother sweet and EVERYTHING was flavorful down to the rice and peas . This was absolutely delightful and we will be back .

Horrible experience, they will messed up your order and then expect you to pay extra to get it right. The food is trash compared to other Jamaican food in the surrounding. However, I will give it to them for that carrot cake they I have over there. other than that everything else is trash.
