I went 2 days in a row first day I got chicken fried steak. It tasted amazing got some boudin as well they make it in house and man was it good. Second day I got the chicken and sausage gumbo let me tell you it was some of the best I have had. Payton was my server both days she was very friendly. Yes I will be back I think this might be a hidden gem.

Delicious food! I’m a trucker and parked across the highway at the other Cash Magic and while there was talking to the husband of the cashier to see where there was good food at.He recommend Jenn’s and actually offered a ride there which I took.Ordered pork,rice and potato salad and the food tasted great and was full of flavor.

Would have loved to try the food but they closed 45 minutes early. Maybe Jenn should change hours to 7:00pm instead of 8:00pm. I got off work at 6:30pm it’s hard get to the hotel take a shower and then get to the restaurant before 7:00 when you got a 30 minute drive……… At least she did open the door after she seen me looking in it pulling on it. She said they closed early so I suggested to turn off the on sign. Which she did. Not Jenn the worker.

Don’t turn and run when everyone in the restaurant turns around to see who walks in! The small and friendly restaurant was very inviting and the chicken fried steak is a MUST. The potatoes were 5 stars and so was the green beans. Feels like a restaurant everyone in town goes to. Can’t wait to try what they have the next time I’m going to Louisiana from Houston.

Rock Hard Ride Free
If you are looking for fresh Gulf shrimp like I was, don’t order the shrimp. I was disappointed in that respect but everything else was great. The service was outstanding.
