The service was pretty relaxed, but nice. At least for me. Sushi rolls tasted good but poorly made. Looks like the skimp on nori and no worries about the presentation.

Great little place tucked into the corner shops. We got 8 rolls and 6 nigiri.

I wanted to try this place, as it’s in a convenient location. I ordered a total of 5 rolls and a couple kinds of nigiri for lunch. (Names of rolls included with pictures.) The price was good, as the total was around $50 before a tip. I will say, while the taste of the food was decent, it isn’t my favorite sushi place in town.

Jei was amazing for service and taste and especially variety and flexibility. My mom and I ordered 5 gluten and dairy free rolls to share and they were all amazing and they set aside a specific area to just prep our sushi. That was amazing for us. I will absolutely go here again.

JEI should be considered a historical landmark. I’ve been coming here for about two years now and have never had a bad experience. From the quality of the food, to the fantastic interactions with the staff, I have nothing but praise for the entire establishment. I would gladly sign a petition to get JEI on every tour of Colorado Springs. Essential eating for anyone that thinks you can find good fish in Colorado.

I have never had to wait to get in and it’s always great, the staff and food are always equally great. The all you can eat is always fast, and they make amazing sushi rolls every single time. I am yet to have anything bad from this place. Definitely give it a try you will not regret it

So coming from a loving sushi eater who has eaten at many sushi places across the US, I can’t say I’m too impressed with this establishment. The sushi took forever to get out and our rice on the sushi was hard and a bit crunchy? We aren’t sure if it’s because we showed up at around 5-6PM and that’s why it was hard but we looked past it. Flavor was good otherwise and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The sashimi we got came on a little boat for almost $30 and it came with 12 pretty small pieces. It tasted fresh though so that’s great! Now, service was not as good and we aren’t sure if it’s because we were tucked away in a corner. (We had a total of 3 servers) As we were checking out we noticed the lady flip the tablet over to tip, which we did, but it didn’t seem like we tipped enough to her liking (mind you, we got checked up on about once or twice throughout our whole meal and water was never refilled) but we still tipped! Before, we walked up to the counter to check out and the lady up front was kind and when we were done pressing the done button on the tab, the lady said nothing, didn’t even look at us, and we left really awkwardly. Now this could just be a one time experience for me as this place has amazing reviews. The thing that made me the most upset was the tipping towards the end.

Amazing food and incredible service. Loved everything we got for all you can eat. Highly recommend! All the staff was awesome and super conversational as well. Love this place, we’ll definitely be regulars.

Never got served so, I can’t comment on the food. Table and chairs were extremely low quality, paint missing from walls… just not well taken care of. Service…… where do I begin? Watched our server flirt with the sushi chef for 30 min. Before walking over to our table to just say “you ready to order?” We decided to leave. Never felt more unwelcome at a restaurant.

Aloha from da BIGPAKE : Today I got to experience a gem of a spot for real authentic localized sushi. I am always impressed with a place that can serve food the way it was meant to be made. This place reminds me of local Hawaii sushi places for one the food but second the hospitality. When we first got there the young lady who sat us was welcoming and was so energetic and made you feel at home, Second the server (Luke) was outstanding.. he was like a cool next door neighbor that understood what you wanted and he always checked on my family. The owners have connections to Hawaii and that may attribute to why thier food is so good but never the less if your ever in Colorado Springs you need to check this place out. You will only want to thank me.
