I recently visited Jefferson’s in Lenexa with some friends on a Saturday evening, and overall, it was a decent experience. As a sports bar, it had a pretty typical vibe, but we were excited to check out the new place.

This is a casual burger and wings restaurant that’s part of the Lawrence, KS based chain of similar design. There’s really nothing to distinguish it from the innumerable similar sports-themed places in the market, and it compares less favorable than some of those based on food. I am always bewildered by restaurant owners/managers who opt for frozen food service french fries when it is usually cheaper to buy whole potatoes and hand-cut and fry them in house. They would be so much better than the frozen crinkle-cut variety we probably all remember from our childhood as being from a company who’s name is the combination of the first three letters of two Pacific Northwest states, or their public school cafeteria knock-offs.

Stopped in to the newly opened Jefferson’s in Lenexa for dinner. This place is amazing! TVs everywhere, and a fantastic menu with something for just about everyone. Hannah was our server, and she was absolutely great. Great service without being overly attentive.

Oysters and wings in KC??? But it is a really cool bar and restaurant. The walls are covered with TVs showing games. Service was great. Great beer selection. We ordered wings and oysters rockefeller. The wings were a bit pricey but good. The cheese on the oysters rockefeller was caramelized and cooked nicely, they came out cold and the oyster was still stuck to the shell (abductor muscle wasn’t cut); disappointing. It looked like they had been sitting in the window for too long. Not sure we would go back again, but I would recommend for upcoming FF drafts.

Started coming to Jefferson’s shortly after the grand opening and have become a weekly patron since the first bite!! I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the food, courteous staff, great selection, all the restaurant and it’s facilities are always neat & clean, and there’s never a long wait.

The wings and cheeseburger was good. Too much salt on fries. Couldn’t really eat them. Brought steak quesadilla home and it was very greasy and the salsa tasted like ketchup.

Good was ok but way overpriced. My chicken wrap was mostly lettuce, maybe 3 oz chicken and like $12. My wife said her fish wasn’t bad; her sweet potato fries were good. Service wasn’t great; I ran out of water a few times and she constantly forgot to bring us things we requested. Overall, we both agree that we won’t spend our money there again.

Great food, staff is the best part. Been 3 times, all 3 waitresses were awesome. Wings are kind of weak and are sauced mild so get a little hotter than usual. The Mild taste like naked wings.

Ordered on-line and for a $20 double cheese the first line of the description says “always fresh never frozen hand pattied daily”! Definitely a frozen pre-made pattie probably 1/3lber. Prepackaged onion rings and for a $3 upcharge you would think more than 4oz but nope! Menu is false glad I didn’t try the oysters..probably rocky mountain oysters. Work in the area and was looking for new different lunch spots. The search goes on, won’t be back!
