Best Texas BBQ I’ve ever had hands down. Haters will say it’s fake. If you want the best BBQ out there give it a taste. You wont be disappointed

We just moved to Melissa and found this place in google maps after a morning of moving. Food was delicious, fresh and amazing. Great service as well. Highly recommended.

My husband and I loved eating our meal here. The food, prices, service, and atmosphere was excellent. The jalapeño poppers appetizer, brisket, okra, Mac and cheese, everything — delicious. Ask the staff what to get, their recommendations are on point! Highly recommend!

Best BBQ I’ve had! Great slaw, okra, chopped brisket, BBQ sauce, fresh buns and even the tea was very good. Clean and friendly. It’s the place I’ve been looking for! Can’t wait to try their desserts. I definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

So we decided to try this place again after 9 months of NOT going back in due to portions and price although service and food were good. My previous review was 3 stars due to portions and price. Owners response was gracious and stated they’d make it right. I Asked the manager if the two meat plate was really two slices of turkey and three slices of brisket. She told me it depended on how it was sliced and it could very well be just the two of one and three of the other. Showed her the previous review as owner asked me to do and allowed her to read it. Owner stated he would make the 2 plate a full pound and when I referred to that she stammered around and said I didn’t get that far but stated the plate was 4 ounces of each meat and could be just the portions I received previously. Even though the owner stated they would make it a pound after hearing the managers explanation decided to pass. THIS review is much lower and definitely will not return. What a shame as food is good just small portions and pricy.

Food was good but portions were very sparse and pricy. 2 meat plate $13.95 with only two slices of turkey breast and three slices of brisket. I would think portions could be a little more. Loads of the side but didn’t come for the side. First time and not sure we’ll return due to price and portions. Other than that friendly staff and good service just not gonna pay those prices when there are others that serve bigger portion for same price.

I tried this place for the first time today and it was really good. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich, a side of baked beans, and a fried apple pie. The brisket was tender and the BBQ sauce was very flavorful. The beans were also good, it seemed like they might have a hint of jalapeno, but it wasn’t spicy. Last, but not least, the fried apple pie (It’s actually baked) was delicious. It definitely taste homemade, and the crust is buttery and flakey.

My wife and I tried JB Legacy BBQ on Saturday afternoon. I must say I was pleasantly surprised just how good everything was. Being a lover of barbecue I knew I had to try the Trinity of meats so I got the brisket, ribs, pulled pork and for good measure hickory smoked sausage. The brisket was smoky, juicy, flavorful and oh so tender. Ribs were smoky and fall off the bone tender with a sweet and mildly spicy caramelized sauce. Pulled pork was very flavorful and juicy. The sausage was not your run of the mill smoked sausage but real hickory smoked sausage that you’d expect from a real barbecue joint. Two different sauces that were labeled mild and spicy accompanied the delicious meat. We shared side orders of sweet potato waffle fries, tater tots and really good macaroni and cheese. Last but not least was the Not fried Apple pie that was sprinkled with powdered sugar and seemed to be naturally sweetened with the apples and juice as the pie itself was not overly sweet. Which can be a good thing after you’ve already stuffed yourself full of barbecue and sides. Got a feeling we’ll become regulars here.

First visit. Tried the chopped sammich,, green beans and ribs. All of it really good. The brisket is practically perfect, no fat globs or gristle, just 100% awesome, delicious meat. Staff are all both friendly and fun. Great ambiance. Highly recommended, definitely worth a stop if you’re anywhere near the area.
