Wow. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this is one of the best breakfast places in Michigan. All of Michigan. Me and my wife stopped by while traveling through the UP on our honeymoon. We split the breakfast burrito and farmers omelet. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Coffee was also phenomenal.

Make this your breakfast stop! Hash browns and eggs are excellent. The wheat toast fantastic. Great help yourself coffee! Michael, the owner I presume, very personable, friendly, and attentive! A Marquette gem!

I can’t believe we had breakfast anywhere else during our stay, as this place rocks! Cozy place with 7-8 tables where you order at the counter and then have a seat and wait to eat. They give you a coffee mug, and you can pour your own, and grab a glass of ice water from a coffee counter. It might take 15-20 mins, if busy, to get your food, but it’s worth the wait. The burrito is huge, and very tasty, and the mushroom omelette is loaded. Thick sliced toast as well. Don’t pass this place up!

This is a local breakfast/brunch place. I got the corn beef hash and eggs. Some of the best I’ve had you can tell it’s home made. Quaint dining area but they to take out also. Would definitely recommend.

Started going here a few months ago, and have gone every week since. They do everything right. At first I got the burrito every time, it was so good I didn’t branch out. Then I finally got the Denver breakfast sandwich and was just as impressed. Omelets are also perfect, nice and thin egg with tons of filling. Good coffee too. The owner is super nice and everyone there is always working hard. It’s small and cozy and has great music.

This is such a cute little place! I got the French toast with bananas and a side of crispy hash-browns..10/10. Their coffee is also really good. I enjoy the vibe this place gives off. Everything is made to order, so the wait time is a little bit longer – food was so worth it though! Definitely recommend!!!

Java Bay only serves diner coffee. The breakfast was amazing! I had the bacon me crazy breakfast sandwich on a croissant, and it was made perfectly. But why is it called Java Bay if it only serves diner coffee?

If you find yourself in a line, WAIT! The breakfasts are phenomenal. And the prices are unheard of. I don’t think a family of 4 could eat at a fast food restaurant for what it cost us all to eat here. It’s a small space and so worth any wait you might have.

We had an omelette and the breakfast burrito – best omelette I’ve ever had! Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and filling! Great food and bottomless coffee, plus a great atmosphere, make for a wonderful experience. Food seems to be made fresh with fresh ingredients, so it will take a few minutes to come out. Well worth the wait!
