What a pleasant experience. This gem of a restaurant is so good that I am afraid to write this review. I fear that if I give the chef the praise due that it’ll be too crowded for me to enjoy. With that said, we ordered the curry goat (small) and oxtail (large). Perfect sized portions and properly priced. This is the best Jamaican food I have eaten outside of my grandmother’s kitchen. The rice and peas are dummy good as well. You owe it to yourself. Top quality. Top taste. Top service. Wish I took a photo of the before.

Tried this place for the first and last time. Went in and the lady behind the counter said I had to order at the register first before selecting a seat. Ok, no problem. She asked if I’d be eating in or taking my food to go. I said I’d be dining in. My issue(s) came when I asked for a plate and some salt. First, if I’m sitting down in a booth waiting for my food, especially after stating “I’m dining in”, wouldn’t you expect your food to be on a plate or something OTHER THAN IN A PAPER BAG?? This woman handed me my empanadas in a damn paper bag!! Second, when I asked for a plate and some salt, the expression on the woman’s face was less than accommodating. Of course, I’m not sure if I was heard correctly or not. Still, I felt like I was being an inconvenience to this person and asking for something I shouldn’t, even though my food should’ve been in/on something OTHER THAN a frick’n paper bag. Btw, they don’t have plates, only Styrofoam containers. Third and last, the woman taking orders and serving the food asked EVERYBODY ELSE while they were eating if “everything was OK” and checking on them. Did I get that same courtesy? No, ONLY as I was leaving did she ask if everything was OK. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

When I come back to Las Vegas, I will come back and eat here. The owner was great. The food was amazing. You get more than enough to eat.

If you want authentic Jamaican food, this is not the place. Be sure to read reviews before you go anywhere in Vegas! I was excited to get food here but didn’t read any reviews before coming in. I ordered the oxtail, curry goat, and one beef patty. When I asked how many pieces the beef pattys come with the cashier made an annoyed face at me then told me it’s just one. (I’ve been to a different restaurant that serves 3 mini patties in one order) Staff were super rude and the food was very bland. The oxtails were too dry and chewy even with the sauce it was cooked in. The rice with beans and vegetables had no flavor at all. The curry goat lacked flavor but had slightly more flavor than the oxtails. I found a hair in my vegetables pictured here. The food was way too overpriced for how underwhelming it was.

Deeply sad about this dining experience. We ordered a large oxtail plate, fish, jerk chicken and a side of mac-n-cheese.

First time trying Jamaican food. We tried the jerk chicken and oxtail plate. Both large. They are very generous with their portions. I didn’t know what to expect tbh but it was really yummy. The oxtail was so soft and the rice was well seasoned and soft. I love love the veggies with it. The chicken was juicy and very flavorful. Definitely coming back

Quick funny story — I tried this place for lunch last week and had the jerk chicken with rice and beans and cabbage. I got all the way home and started tearing that plate up! I made the mistake of letting my fiancée taste my food…next thing I know I was sent right back up there again that same night to get her a plate too . Safe to say we will surely be back to try some more menu items. Great experience all around.

I am Jamaican and I was really really impressed with how fresh and authentic the food was. It was delicious, hot and fresh. We had Jerk Chicken, curry goat, oxtail, festival and fried breadfruit. Festival and breadfruit was done fresh to order. Big shout out to John the chef and Tameka. We really appreciate you making us having a taste of Jamaica in Las Vegas.
