My friend turned me on to this restaurant…and let me tell you the ox tails are to die for. I go at least once a week to treat myself. The prices are reasonable AND the portion size is unbeatable, especially if you get a large. It is in Churchill so the atmosphere has to fit the area, if that makes sense. But the cashier is always friendly and they are fast with their service. I highly recommend to try

The average authentic Jamaican restaurant always seems to have the worst atmospheres, so I’ll let this slide. Upon looking outside, the building, it’s hard to tell if it’s open or not as nobody is usually at the front desk and the building is grilled up, giving it a “do not enter” vibe.

I don’t know who said this food was good.. It was horrible. I ordered a small jerk chicken. I was given a leg quarter. Real jerk chicken is cut up into pieces and flavorful. This Leg quarter was NOT. it tasted like baked chicken with a watery Gravy. I also ordered Plaintains that were iced cold like they were in the refrigerator.

The food is good… Now ask me if they can get your delivery order straight??? Heck no…every time, I ask for extra gravy with my jerk chicken and they either don’t give extra or leave it off all together! I just realized that they only gave me DRY WHITE MEAT…read the check…it clearly says DARK MEAT! Please Jamaica Taste…get it right because I’d hate to stop ordering because of that simple reason…it spoils the meal experience! I like supporting black businesses but…I want what I ask for when paying my money. If you want to give me what you want me to have, let me know and I’ll kindly join you for lunch ‘on you’ (Jamaica Taste) any day!

The lady who works in the front is very rude and has a nasty attitude. It was our first time there, my husband said thank you to her and she just looked at him with an attitude. They have good food but bad customer service. Its our money that keep youll business going she need not to work there.
