Went to Tehachapi for A Sunday afternoon and found Jake’s while walking around. Glad I stayed for dinner I had a End cut Prime Rib awww so yummy and the pecan cheesecake . Great service & atmosphere

Went here for my birthday with my boyfriend and absolutely loved it. I get the same thing every time and he has never been here and really enjoyed the meal!! Highly recommend coming here for birthdays the staff are incredibly nice every time! Love it here, wish I had the money to visit every month

Stopped by Jake’s based the reviews. The reviews were spot on. Walked in around 5:45p without a reservation. Place was quite full already. I had the hanger steak with baked potato plus a salad. Buddy had the fish and chips. Food and service was excellent. Highly recommend trying out Jake’s.

We come in for dinner with more then an hour till close. The waitress walked by us multiple times then decided to say “it will be about 20 min wait “ we agreed and she walked away. We got asked by a different lady if we had been helped, we said yes but they didn’t take our name down. We saw a lot of people walking out as we waited so we understood tables need to be cleaned and set for us. The waitress that helped us over hear us say we didn’t get our names taken down and had a MELTDOWN . We could hear her complain about us. It was very uncomfortable. The rest of the experience was just rushed and not pleasant. We are paying customers and this is unacceptable. I hope they can control their actitudes even when it’s been a long day. *customer service *

The food was pretty good. At our table we got the: filet mignon, prime rip and penne San Remo with spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. The mashed potatoes were awful. I think maybe they forgot butter and/or ran out of milk/cream so they used water, it was inedible. The seasonal vegetables were amazing and the meat was pretty good (not great for the price, I’ve had better for less). The chocolate ‘Van Gogh martini’ was great, the ‘girls night out Cosmo’ was good. My main issue was the service,it was so slow! They did seat us early for our reservation (we went early to have drinks at the bar but it was full). while we were waiting, several passing people greeted us and said someone would be with us in a moment, which was nice. Once we sat down we never saw our waitress. It took over 10 minutes to just get water. It took another 25 to order our appetizer and get our drinks. Another 40min before we could order only to find out they were out of prime rib and baked potatoes (at only 6pm). Overall we were there for over 3 hours. Once we got our food we weren’t checked on for over 40 minutes, so we couldn’t ask for a different side to replace the nasty mashed potatoes. I get it, she was busy, but they could have told us they couldn’t seat us early if they were too busy to actually serve us. Definitely not worth the price. It seems like they need better management especially for ordering/preparing how much food should be cooked on a busy Friday night and also a better system for seating.
