We went to celebrate a birthday and Jake’s did not disappoint at all. We had a variety of steaks, scallops and the pork chop. The twice baked potatoes were amazing. The porterhouse steak for two was presented already sliced and was spectacular. The wait staff was amazing we couldn’t ask for better service.

Artistry and care go into every item on the menu. Chef/owners are particularly careful and particular about the food, service and ambiance of their restaurants, and this one is special. Being open for over 60 years, says it all. Young Jake Replogle, chef and owner, with his wife, Karen, run a restaurant that is wonderful for special occasions or just a burger at the bar. Just ask several generations of families who are regulars, or me!

Fantastic place! This was our first visit. We walked in without a reservation (not recommended) and were seated right away. Our cheerful server told us about the menu and the off menu specials. She gave us time to look everything over before we started with the terrific onion soup. Then we ordered the Porterhouse for two, delicious! The pace of the meal was great, at no point did we feel rushed. Highly recommended for a special occasion, or just a nice night out.

My husband and I go to a steakhouse at least once a month. Jake’s used to be one of our top choices. Not after our last experience for his birthday. I order a steak medium. Rare for how it was served to me wouldn’t even be the right word. We found not one, but two black pet hairs in the twice baked potato, and our server couldn’t even be bothered to come back around to the table to ask if we would like another drink or refill water or anything. I tried reaching out to the restaurant directly before posting publicly and they didn’t get back to me. If I’m going to spend $200+ on a meal, I’ll do it elsewhere going forward.
