I want to rave about this place, but the way the manager attempted to swindle $150 fee for a room I didn’t ask for and moreover neither was disclosed when I booked a reservation for 18 nor when I arrived with my party, stops me from being able to give this place admiration. They really put a damper on a really great brunch attempting to be duplicitous.

I’ve wanted to try this place for years. We decided to go for brunch today. It is the sweetest place. So peaceful and casually elegant. The service was impeccable. The deviled eggs were superb, but the highlight were the grilled beets. Best I’ve ever had. The French omelette was perfection. My only criticism would be that the shrimp and grits were too much like BBQ shrimp. Very heavy on the Worcestershire and fish stock. Everything else was top notch. Can’t wait to plan my next party here.

Beautiful old building well kept inside and out. Large outside dining area with insects repellent.

Very good food in a very nice atmosphere. They had live music while we were there. The crispy oysters appetizer was delicious ($18). They sat atop a wonderful aioli sauce. My dining partner had the 8 oz. filet ($49). It was very good but was slightly cooked beyond the requested medium-rare. My crispy snapper ($38) was delicious. The sauce was a little overpowering/bold for a delicate, fish dish. That withstanding, it was very good. All in all, a wonderful place, especially for a special occasion. The Waite staff were not as attentive as I would have expected. More than once we had to call staff over for refills or request for another cocktail. However, it was very busy so that may have played a role in their ability to get to our table regularly. Please note that this is a fairly expensive restaurant, but the food lives up to the hype. Very good dining experience overall.

Quaint, historic old home serves as a cozy restaurant with lots of windows and a warm fireplace.

I went for lunch and they were out of some things, so I am sure this contributed to my experience. There could be some other options for lunch added to the menu also some lunch specials and by specials that doesn’t mean cheap, just some other options… I will have to return for dinner for a better review. Overall, I did enjoy my dining experience here.

I went there for the first time a couple weeks ago to help celebrate my friend’s birthday. The appetizers that were ordered were amazing. Unfortunately when I ordered the “Trout Almondine” it was so overly seasoned that I couldn’t taste anything over the excess amounts of salt and pepper.

FOOD-Myself and 2 new friends had dinner here today and we ordered The brussel sprouts which were so flavorful and the lardons gave awesome little burst of bacon flavor throughout. The beef tips with red onions and sauce was super tender and juicy! The deviled eggs just immediate creamy and smooth and topped with the softest salmon and packed with amazing flavors! We all ordered the fillets which were all perfectly cooked. Loved the boubon pecan pie which was great but id was already at my brim after the first bite.
