Jackson’s Chicken was great! We had the COB, with slaw and tots. Everything was freshly made to order. The COB sauce was house-made and tasty. I added the jalapenos on the sandwich which made it even better. The building is old and needs work but the tables and chairs were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. The staff told us they were moving to a new location since their current building was needing so much repair. I highly recommend the COB sandwich (chicken on bread). The chicken was juicy and the breading was crunchy. It was perfect!

7-3-23 I’m a south Mississippi boy who knows good fried chicken. I can tell you the C.O.B. Chicken sandwich is a home run. We visited during a camping trip near Camden and I saw the reviews for the COB and it did not disappoint. The chicken is moist and tender inside with a light crunchy batter outside and if you like it spicy just add jalapeños for the perfect kick The tater tots were crispy outside and tender inside perfect! The sweet tea is what sweet tea should be. Judging by the lunch crowd I’m not the only one that thinks this place is for real. Service was fast and friendly food was cooked to order so we had to wait a little bit but that’s ok it’s to be expected especially as busy as they were. Spoke with the owner and they are moving to a renovated building just a short distance down the road across from the bank in downtown. Be sure not to miss an opportunity to visit Jackson’s Fried Chicken when you’re in the area.

It wasn’t bad, but I don’t get the hype I’ve heard. I had the chicken on a bun with onion rings, and they were okay. The building is not in very good shape; several ceiling tiles are missing or damaged and there are stains on the walls.

Jackson fried chicken is bs when I grew up this was CHICKADEE ran by Frank they got the facility and now is making the watered down version of what I knew so for all that don’t know this place is not what it was, it was a place for black families to sit and have an old school good time grandmothers aunties and mothers in the kitchen cooking down home soul food. The chicken was like what you get at home..So I have no clue what this is….. The customer service was home as we knew it…. But yeah not good

Food was great I had a quarter pounder and fries I thought it would look like the one at McDonald’s but it had two pattys fries were tiny but really good I really like the table design also the box my food came in look like a box you would get at a football game that would have a hot dog in it and the drink tasted like it came from the shell station but was good also the table we sat at the table near the door and the light switches were right next to it so be careful

I’ve eaten at this place twice in my life and hope to return one day. Jackson’s is an Alabama staple and well worth a day trip out to Camden to get you some of the finest fried chicken in Alabama. Service is good, the people are nice and it is well worth the money.

Drove 2 1/2 hours just to eat there. I was not disappointed. I had the COB combo. Chicken was good and tender buns seemed steamed and the sauce on the sandwich was awesome. A friend that went with me had the buffet. It was Friday and they had seafood. He had shrimp and catfish. He said it was delicious. So I highly recommend this restaurant.

Really good chicken sandwich, don’t look around at the building, they’re moving but the chicken is the best!

First visit to this establishment. In Camden, AL for vehicle service at McGraw-Webb Chevrolet, another out standing business there. Had two Catfish dinners from Jackson’s, it was the best catfish we’d had in a long time. Nice portions, two filets, very crispy and juicy. That cook knows how to cook catfish! The owner delivered our orders to the truck with an apology for the wait. She was very nice and made us want to come back next visit to Camden. We definitely will, there isn’t a wide choice of eateries there but Jackson’s is a treasure. Can’t wait to try their fried chicken! Been coming down here since 2019 and Jackson’s is by far the best place we’ve found for lunch!
