A diverse menu, scenic location, and excellent food. I had the Jen (essentially a turkey Rueben) and the French onion soup in a bread bowl. Both rivaled the best similar entrees I’ve had anywhere. My boys had grilled cheese sandwiches and said they were great.

When a place says half the adventure is finding us, well, i usually take that challenge. Located just a few steps from the Rock Island departure point, this spot might be remote, but you can’t miss it when you arrive.

The specialty pizza was great! Service is a bit slow, but for the popularity and the beautiful location, it makes sense. Lots of options for pies, local ciders, etc.

I’m not sure why this place has so many great reviews – we had a pretty bad experience when we went.

Very busy place but the staff worked their butts off to make fresh food and deliver it all over their place. Staff was young and they handled themselves so well. We loved the venue and our soup and sandwiches were delicious. Expect a wait— not a fast food joint. It’s worth it!

What a hidden gem! Some of our clan wasn’t too excited at first because they thought it would only be soup! They ended up loving their meals! Fantastic French dip, quesadillas, Dagwood and that fresh baked bread! Everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly! The outside bar was great as well!

Overall, the food was good. The experience, not so much. A downside was that things were rather expensive, though that’s to be expected. We got the carrot ginger soup, quesadilla, Maggie sandwich, and bumbleberry pie. The sandwich, quesadilla, and pie were all delicious. The soup was also okay, but it was rather cold and the kettle wasn’t full (which we got a refund for). Additionally, the food took about an hour, and even then, one of our dishes was forgotten. We weren’t notified of the wait time in advance, which was also a negative.

Very good food and plentiful. Loved the very casual seating outside. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We had a party of 6. We all placed our orders back to back. One member of our party received his French dip over 40 minutes after ordering and after the rest of us were done eating. I had the dogwood sandwich which was pretty good. The soups, loaded potato soup and seafood chowder were very bland and a disappointment. Cherry pie was very good. Missed our ferry to Rock Island due to the food delay. If you’re looking for great soup, I’d go to AC Tap.
