As I am a big comfort food fan, I’ve always found “Jack Urban Eats” to be fairly consistent. Whether you’re trying their sandwiches, salads, steak, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, this place has something for everyone. They have been a Sacramento staple over the years with 9 locations in the greater Sacramento area. The location I am focusing on is the one in North Natomas (off of Natomas Blvd & Del Paso Rd) in the Park Place Shopping Center.

Very fresh , good selection, the salmon is farmed so that’s not a positive, You’d think with the current understanding of the conditions or farm raised fish that wild caught would be a preference. Otherwise great selection of fresh produce.

1 star because I have gone here twice and both times were disappointing. The 2nd time has nailed this location to the coffin because I was not expecting to be unsatisfied again. The first time here was lame, a tri tip sandwich with normal fries on side was overpriced, it will not fill you, you get too little for price, fries were not tasty, 5 Guys does better. The 2nd time being here was foul, overpriced turkey and Mac cheese that was already becoming cold. I thought this place would be good lunch and it’s not. Not recommended.

Use to be a lot “livelier” pre-covid. I get it. But it just seems to have lost a level in their personal care/service. We have been out of the pandemic for a couple of years now and we are in our new normal, it (personal care/service at high levels) is something I still miss. Love a Jack’s salad with the Cajun Turkey! They still have very good food that is made with great fresh sustainable ingredients. Mmmm….Jack’s Create Your Own Salad!
