We are new to the area but had eaten at Jack’s a few times during visits to Uvalde. Stopped in for lunch the other day and, man oh man, we were not disappointed. I had the pepper steak and it was the best I’ve ever had…perfectly seasoned and tender. My husband had a sirloin and he thought it was delicious and flavorful. The portions were large enough that we both needed to go boxes. Service was great; our waitress was attentive and kept our drinks filled. We’ll definitely be more regular about dining here. Best meal we’ve had in a while.

One of the worst tasting steaks I have ever had. Very tough, overly done in garlic, asked for rare got medium. Drinks sat empty multiple times for multiple minutes before they were refilled. Place was not busy. We were the only other group there. 6 people total in whole establishment. Now I see why.

Service was terrible, waited almost 2 hours just to get my food. Bobby V. had a very unpleasant attitude for my first experience and I was looking forward to enjoying the food. He also tried to over charge me for food i never received. He also told me that they are out of baked potato’s and proceeded to take one to another table that ordered after me.
