Lunch visit with 5 friends on a week day. Arrived right at opening time and were somewhat chagrined that they were “out of coffee “!!! Also several menu items were “out”. Jordan, our sever, was very pleasant. All of us were happy with our food. I chose the somewhat unusual blackberry grilled cheese. Nice crispy bacon, gooey cheese and sweet note from blackberry jam. Tiny space, only 8 tables with nostalgic atmosphere. Would have earned5 stars if not for multiple out of stocks.

Checked out this place with my work besties for lunch. I have been talking about it as I keep hearing about it. All of the food was so good. This is single handedly one of the best restaurants in Kent county hands down. My favorite things were the scallops, crab dip and brownie. My friends enjoyed their meals- I tried some of everything and it was all so good. I look forward to going back!

I was so excited to hear we have a restaurant in Clayton. Now that I had the chance to dine here, I have to say that it is actually quite awesome! I had the scallop special small plate that was delicious. I also had Jack’s Cobb salad that was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend! Look forward to coming back

Great dinner and dessert! Our waitress ( Abi is what was on the check, I have an awful memory sorry! ) was super nice and made this the best first time experience for us here. The bread pudding was hands down amazing! Definitely going back soon.

Super friendly and well priced place to eat proper, well prepared food. I enjoyed a crab bisque and a rib meat and cheese sandwich with chips (crisps for us English people ). Full of flavour and generous portions. This place is a hidden secret that I am gonna introduce my American buddies to . Will definitely be back.

Tonight was my second time eating at Jack’s and once again, they far exceeded my expectations. I had the rock fish for dinner, and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was to die for. All of our food was piping hot and fresh. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend.

I just loved this place and can’t wait to go back. They have a limited menu but everything we had was delicious. I had the beef with provolone sandwich with dipping sauce and a salad. Beef was delicious and home made. My friend had Gouda and sliced ham…not luncmeat but real ham. she ordered strawberry shortcake dessert…again homemade biscuit with strawberries and whipped cream. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We both really enjoyed our meals. I highly recommend.

Had a beautifully presented, patiently prepared meal by a definitely talented chef for lunch today! The sautéed scallops and freshly sliced zucchini, yellow squash and carrots were delicious as were the duchess potatoes!
