I door dashed this place a couple a months ago. When I picked up the customer order the smells that came from the establishment and the plate made me instantly hungry. I knew I had to try it for myself! Chile, when I say everything was good… I mean just that! The Turkey legs was tender and seasoned to perfection, greens were on point with a lil kick, and don’t get me started on the Gumbo!!! They have earned themselves another permanent returning customer for sure!!! Y’all better go get you a plate!!

The food is really good! Seasoned really well! Greens got a lil kick just as they should mac&cheese seasoned well! Turkey leg seasoned well only reason it’s not a 5 for them the turkey leg a little dry!

Ate here for the first time today because this place was highly recommended by a coworker and every single bite was phenomenal!! I got the gumbo, greens (best I’ve ever had) and Mac and cheese. Spiced perfectly!! I can definitely be a critic at times when it comes to seasoning food and I was very impressed! Thanks!

The food is so awesome I promise you. Everything is seasoned perfectly. The gumbo has a spicy kick to it, but not too much. You will be pleased and satisfied. I haven’t been disappointed yet, and I am there once a week.

I’m gonna try and keep this short, because there’s so much to say… These folks KNOWWWW what they’re doing!! I usually order the same thing: Blackened Salmon w/Greens and a side of Mac n Cheese. I always request white rice instead of the spicy rice that it comes with. I can’t handle high levels of heat/spice, but the greens have just the right amount of kick to ’em. Delicious. The only other dish I’ve tried was the Gumbo, and it was very tasty. Just a little more spicy than I could handle. I wish this business MUCH success…feels good to have a proper representation of authentic New Orleans-style food, right here in STL! I highly recommend! Gotta try a dessert next time… #yum

Wow. I’m in awe. Seen a Facebook review and decided to try it. Of course the gumbo was top tier…it’s a gumbo house lol. The other entrees were very flavorful, cooked to perfection as well. 10/10. And last but not least, the cornbread taste like pound cake! Highly recommended. 15/10

This was my 1st time ordering from J Marie’s, The food was absolutely delectable! I ordered that monster turkey wing plate with Mac aroni and cheese greens cornbread chili also with corn bread and that wonderful banana pudding! Very Great portions, I had to call the place and speak with miss June myself I had to let her know to keep doing what she was doing everything was absolutely too perfection I urge all of you to please try it for yourself you can tell the food was made with LOVE! I will be ordering again and again!
