I had and recommend the fried catfish, the yams, black eyed peas, hush puppies, cabbage. Everything on the menu was amazing except the macaroni and cheese. There was a sign that said to pay with cash so I had to go to a ATM and get cash. They didn’t have collard greens and another item on the menu at the time I ordered. Again, the food was amazing but the macaroni and cheese seemed extremely old and hard and was flipped inside out and had ground black pepper in it. I will be back to try the BBQ.

My first time visiting and I must say from the customer service to the food was exceptional! The food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for good BBQ and that Soulful touch on Mac n cheese, greens Cornbread and The peach cobbler was very tasty! I will definitely be coming back!

On 8/9/2023 My Family and I went to J & J’s BBQ & Fish restaurant for the first time. We paid $ 70. dollars we bought some of everything and was very disappointed in the food. It wasn’t good there was bell pepper ( green & red )in the cabbage, which to me took the taste from the cabbage, rib tips didn’t have any meat on it it was just bone / gristle and barbecue sauce which wasn’t good. The potatoe salad was sweet and didn’t taste like potatoe salad. The fish wasn’t all that. Overall none of the food was good and the prices is too expensive for the food.

I wanted to give a 5 star but they gave me burnt cornbread. we had a large order for pick up. I’m am greatful it was ready on time but was disappointed in the cornbread. I was so looking forward to it. Almost half the order of 15pcs was burnt and dry. The meat and fish was wonderful though.

Very expensive compared to what you actually get, and unfortunately you can tell sides were microwaved for reheat, the meat tough and cold on the inside, and all served with cold overly moist flavorless cornbread. The shrimp was like a ball of panko crumbs fried, without the shrimp It’s sad to wait almost 30 minutes for disappointing food. Don’t let the smell fool you upon entering, because that’s not what your gonna get
