J Dawgs is a transcendent experience. Do not underestimate the simplicity of this restaurant. Everything is sharpened to absolute perfection. A hot dog that will keep you coming back for more. There’s special sauce has a mysterious and light goodness. I’ve been going there almost every day for several weeks now. And I would even bring a date here. There’s a side courtyard indoors that is not to be missed.

As a tired tourist, I appreciate that they were open until 9 pm on a Thursday night. The menu is limited, which is conducive to high quality for what they do offer. The hot dog was good, of course, and the bun soft. The fries were also good and a generous portion. The price is reasonable considering the downtown location.

Big fan of J.Dawgs! Big fan of their take home kits! It is surprising to see that they have some of the best fries around. I wouldn’t expect that at a hotdog joint. So very simple but yet so very good! You’ll be tempted to get some of the J.Dawgs sauce to take home. Give into that temptation. The sauce is good on most anything. Any day at J.Dawgs is a great day!

Love the food and usually have a great experience. BUT, I’m only posting this today and giving something other than 5 stars because this time when I got lunch there all of the staff were collectively the most miserable and least friendly I’ve ever seen in Utah food service. It was more like a typical New Jersey customer service experience when you’re at a Dunkin Donuts off the NJ turnpike at 2am.

I went to your SLC location today and witnessed Mgr. Daniel treat a customer in a rude manner. (June 12, 2023 at 12 Noon). The lady politely asked for a discount that she gets on a regular basis according to her, and when it was different than what she normally gets she asked to speak with the manager. The manager was then mean to her and told her she could take it or leave it. I was shocked at how poorly trained and disrespectful he was to her. She politely asked for his name, and he refused.

Experience was eh, 13$ for an alright hot dog, pretty good fries, and a Dr pepper mold edition. Be careful with their soft drink machine, they don’t seem to clean it, I got black mold in my Dr pepper and my orange fanta. Pretty grossed out and prob won’t ever come back.
